Passive - Shurima's Legacy
Range: 700
Effect Radius: 2000

Innate: Whenever a turret outside the enemy team's base is destroyed, a marker is placed above its ruins which can be targeted by Azir.

Innate - Disc of the Sun: Azir can select a marker to construct the Sun Disc above the ruins after a 0.5 -second cast time. The Sun Disc will activate after being assembled over 5 seconds. Azir cannot construct a Sun Disc with the marker while he is affected by cast-inhibiting crowd control or a lockout that disables abilities.

The Sun Disc functions the same as a standard inner turret but deals magic damage, gains 40% AP bonus attack damage, and grants its kill credit to Azir. The Sun Disc's health decays over 45 seconds and loses 100 armor and 100 magic resistance while Azir is not alive or is too far away.

Active: Azir orders all Sand Soldiers to dash toward the target location, dealing magic damage to all enemies they pass through as well as those in front of them upon arrival, and slow them by 25% for 1 second.

Magic Damage: 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 / 140 (+ 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 / 55% AP)

Enemies hit by subsequent soldiers take no additional damage and are instead slow by an additional 25% per soldier.

A summoned Sand Soldier is required to cast this ability.

Active: Azir summons a Sand Soldier at the target location that is untargetable, lasts 10 seconds, and grants sight of its surroundings. The Sand Soldier expires twice as fast while within range of an enemy turret, and does so instantly if Azir is too far away. Azir periodically stocks a Sand Soldier, up to a maximum of 2.

Magic Damage: 0 / then (+ 50 / 65 / 80 / 95 / 110) (+ 35 / 42.5 / 50 / 57.5 / 65% AP)

When Azir declares a basic attack against an enemy in a soldier's attack range, the Sand Soldier attacks in his stead, thrusting their spear in the target's direction to deal magic damage to enemies struck in a line. Against the primary target, the Sand Soldier's attack applies on-hit and on-attack effects, with on-hit damage reduced to 50% effectiveness. Targets hit beyond the closest take 20 / then +8% - 80% (based on level) damage. Subsequent Sand Soldiers against the same target deal 25% damage.

Sand Soldiers cannot attack turret, ward, nor stealthed trap.

Upon finishing their charge, the soldiers stand as a wall for 5 seconds, acting as impassible terrain against enemies and granting sight of their surroundings. Azir and his allies can move through these soldiers.

In this patch we're looking to make Azir a bit more powerful for players at home. These changes should be pretty appreciable for all Azir players, regardless of rank.

Conquering Sands

  • AP ratio increased to 35/40/45/50/55% AP from 35% AP at all ranks.
  • Undocumented: Spear length reduced to 325 units from 370.

Arise!

  • Base damage per level increased to 0 to 72 (based on level) from 0 to 45 (based on level).
  • AP ratio increased to 35/42.5/50/57.5/65% AP from 32.5/40/47.5/55/62.5% AP.
Patch 26.5nerf

Azir does a lot of things very well when played at a high level, and we want to make sure we preserve that expression of mastery Azir players spend a lot of time developing. But with that in mind when he gets going he can feel very oppressive and unstoppable. In order to give his opponents some degree of counterplay we’re bringing his health in the late game down a notch so assassin type champions can have a chance to dethrone the Shuriman emperor.

Azir's a bit too powerful in higher levels of play at the moment, but he's in pretty good shape for regular play. So we're looking to shift his power around and reduce those pro-specific strengths. To do this, we're digging into his early laning phase and giving him less passive guaranteed wave control and compensating him with better late-game scaling and more rewards for taking big risks.

Emperor's Divide

  • Improved the targeting reticule to include the start point and existence of the dash.
  • Fixed a bug where the initial charge was not applying crowd control (i.e. enemies could still cast and attack while being moved). Consequently, enemies can no longer activate dashes during the ability to get over the wall; and the charge will now correctly interrupt channels.
  • The following things should no longer happen:
  • Deal damage multiple times.
  • Multi-bounce targets before they ever hit the ground.
  • Pin targets to terrain, and will now push them over the terrain.
  • Interact weirdly with spell shields; sometimes breaking and sometimes not, but always knocking enemies back. Spell shields will now correctly block the knockback.
  • Low cooldown dashes can now longer get over the wall, such as Spirit Rush and Unseen Predator.
  • Move the greater relics on Crystal Scar.
  • Coming soon: Grant kill credit to Azir for invisible minions that are used as placeholders in many spells (e.g. Acceleration Gate pillars).
