buff

  • Combine cost reduced to 550 gold from 600 gold.

Patch 25.4

buff

After making several balance passes at level 2 boots late last year, we've gotten them to a point where they're appropriately competitive with legendary items. That said, we've got some minor balance outliers within the boots space itself, so we're looking to bring up some of the worst performers and bring down the top end a touch.First is Mercury's Treads, which is the weakest tank footwear. We know 50 gold doesn't sound like a lot, but boots are small items and as a percentage, this is like dropping 125 gold off of a full legendary.

General

  • Price: 1300 → 1250 gold

Patch 25.S1.1

buff

General

  • New Effect: Triumphant version grants +5 magic resistance.
  • Now builds into Chainlaced Crushers.

Patch 14.19

nerf

General

  • Total cost increased to 1300 gold from 1200 gold.
  • Combine cost increased to 600 gold from 500 gold.

Patch 14.15

nerf

Overall the nerfs to tier two boots are meant to make them the correct buy once you actually want the move speed, instead of just the best early items in the game. Ideally building your first legendary should be the optimal way to play out your laning phase but upgrading your move speed could be worthwhile if you need to dodge skill shots or close the gap on a ranged opponent.

  • Total cost increased to 1200 gold from 1100 gold.

  • Magic resistance reduced to 20 from 25.
