Privacy

Rift Patch Notes is a personal fan project. For any privacy question or request, use the floating Contact button at the bottom right of the website (forms provided by Tally, an EU service).

Analytics

We use self-hosted analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate. It records anonymized usage and technical data, including text typed into search boxes, anonymized click positions and scroll depth, and a coarse location derived from your IP address. The IP address is not stored, and nothing kept can be linked to any person. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

Error reporting

If a page breaks, an automatic and anonymous technical report is sent to our self-hosted error tracker and used only to fix bugs. Reports contain no IP address and nothing that identifies you. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

If you subscribe, your email address is stored by Buttondown, a US service, and used only to send the newsletter. Legal basis: consent; withdraw it with the unsubscribe link in any issue, which also removes your email address.

Hosting

The site is served through Cloudflare, a US service, which processes connection data, including your IP address, to deliver and protect it.

Cookies and local settings

One cookie (game) remembers which game section you use, for up to a year. A few interface settings live in your browser's local storage.

Your rights

You have the GDPR rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, and may complain to a supervisory authority. Because analytics and error data identify no one, we can generally remove only data related to the newsletter.
