Patch 25.20

change

It's important that players have a fair fight in their early laning phases, both in pro play and everywhere else. Thankfully, our more recent lane swap mitigation tactics have removed 2v1 lanes at the start of game from pro play while generally not intruding on everyone else. In the interest of cultivating exciting and non-deterministic laning phases this Worlds, we're extending lane swap detection for another minute in top lane. As this mechanic only affects support champions venturing to the far side of the map, this won't affect your level 1 Aurelion Sol roams… unless you're playing ASol support.

Lane Swap Detection

  • Top Lane Detection: Until 3:00 → Until 4:00

Patch 25.17

change

  • In this case the displayed message is different than when pinging the summoner spell without having seen the enemy using it.

LANE SWAP DETECTION

  • Lane Swap Detection in mid lane has been shrunk to no longer overlap with most of the Raptor Pit.

Patch 25.6

change

When we implemented our anti-lane swap changes last patch, we wanted to affect regular play as little as possible while also removing lane swaps from First Stand. We're tuning the system to further reduce the impact on regular play by alleviating the frequency and severity of the lane swap debuff. By shortening the time frame and reducing the overall minion penalty, we hope to have the best of both worlds for pro and regular play alike.

Nemesis Quests

  • Bug Fix: Certain buff tooltips no longer display debug text.

Anti-Lane Swaps

  • Start Time: 1:30 → 1:35
  • End Time in Top Lane: 3:30 → 3:00

  • Bounty Suppression by Lead Severity: 0 / 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100% → 30 / 60 / 90 / 100%

  • Bug Fix: No longer incorrectly assigns victory to the first team that gains only a single out of the three epic monster objectives, if they had completed one other type of feat beforehand.
  • Bug Fix: No longer sometimes assigns victory to the first team that completes one feat.
  • Undocumented / Bug Fix: No longer grants rewards to the team that lost the Feats of Strength as well, upon them meeting the requirements later in the game.

Pathfinding

  • Complete re-write of pathfinding-related code to make the system more predictable and forgiving, helping alleviate a lot of creep blocking pains. This should vastly improve:
  • Collision with overlapping units, if you've ever seen someone get "stunned" by a ward or krugs (effectively granting a ghost-like effect allowing you to get free).
  • How units path through packs of other units, such as a huge minion waves.
  • Relating to the previous, predicting locations where you may soon get stuck and avoiding it (game-of-chicken preventing).
