League of Legends Patch 6.9 was released on May 4, 2016. This update included changes to 24 champions, with 6 buffs, 3 nerfs, 15 adjustments.

General

  • New ability icons.

Dread

  • New Passive: Standing still or channeling for 1.5 seconds grants Fiddlesticks 25/30/35/40 (at level 1/6/11/16)% bonus movement speed, that lasts for 1.5 seconds once he starts moving. Being immobilized will not trigger dread, and will reset the timer.

Terrify

  • Range reduced to 525 from 575.

Drain

  • Cooldown now begins at the end instead of at the start.
  • Cooldown reduced to 4/3.75/3.5/3.25/3 seconds from 10/9/8/7/6.

Dark Wind

  • Bounces increased to 6 from 4. 7 potential targets up from 5.
  • Maximum single target damage increased to 260/340/420/500/580 (+180% AP) from 195/255/315/375/435 (+ 135% AP).
  • New priority:
  • Target of Drain. The target of Drain is now virtually guaranteed to take maximum damage.
  • New target.
  • Random target.

Crowstorm (R)

  • Now casts at maximum range if cast beyond maximum range.
  • Pings "On My Way" to allies.

Transcendent

  • New Effect: Max rank Dark Sphere now last for 8 seconds. Previous effect removed.
  • New Effect: Max rank Force of Will now grabs up to 2 additional spheres near the target. Syndra will throw the assortment of units in a way that increases Force of Will's area of effect, but it does not cause the ability to deal increased damage. Previous effect removed.
  • The main purpose of this change is that Syndra will now reset the lifespan of up to 3 spheres, as well as placing all 3 spheres in a convenient location for Scatter the Weak.

Dark Sphere

  • AP ratio increased to 75% AP from 60% AP.

Force of Will

  • Now displays a maximum throw radius while bending units to your will.

Scatter the Weak

  • Cooldown reduced to 16/15/14/13/12 seconds from 18/16.5/15/13.5/12.

  • Particle effect improved, including better clarity for opponents.

Frostbite

  • Missile speed increased to 1600 from 1200.
  • Particle effect improved.
  • Cast range reduced to 600 from 650.
  • Cast range now uses er instead of cr.

Glacial Storm

  • New Passive: Increases Chill's movement speed slow by 0/10/20%, for a total of 20/30/40%. Chill is applied by Flash Frost and Glacial Storm.
  • Removed: Chill's attack speed slow.
  • Now has a cast animation. Not a cast time.
  • Cast range increased to 685 from 625. Effectively the same as her attack range, barring edge/center-range differences.
  • Radius reduced to 150 from 400.
  • New Effect: Radius now increases to 400 over 3 seconds. At maximum size, damage and slow are increased by 50%. Additionally, the Chill debuff lingers for an additional 1-second when they leave the area (total 2 seconds).

Pyromania

  • The current stacks are displayed beneath Annie's overhead health bar, similar to Jhin ammunition.

Incinerate

  • Bug Fix: Annie should no longer damage enemies who escape the area during the cast time. Note that if you escape the area in the same instant the ability resolves - it will still damage you, as with all other abilities.
  • Range increased to 625 from 560.

Molten Shield

  • Duration reduced to 3 seconds from 5.
  • Removed: Movement speed on Tibbers.
  • Removed: Armor and Magic resistance.
  • New Effect: Now grants 16/22/28/34/40% damage reduction.

Summon Tibbers

  • Initial base damage reduced to 150/275/400 from 175/300/425.
  • Initial damage AP ratio reduced to 65% AP from 80% AP.
  • Burn damage reduced to 10/15/20 from 20/30/40.
  • Burn damage AP ratio reduced to 10% AP from 20% AP.
  • Tibbers on-hit damage reduced to 50/75/100 from 80/105/130.
  • Tibbers on-hit damage now scales with 15% AP.
  • Tibbers attack range increased to 150 from 125.
  • New Effect - Enrage: Tibbers gains 275% attack speed and 100% movement speed that decays over 3 seconds, as well as the ability to ignore unit collision, upon being summoned, when Annie dies and when she stuns a champion with Pyromania.
  • New Effect: Tibbers will now persist after Annie's death. Tibbers must remain within 1200 units of Annie's body and will first prioritize her killer, then low health enemies (champions over minions).
  • New Effect: Tibbers will now regenerate 6% of his maximum health every second if he's been out of combat for at least 5 seconds.
  • New Effect: Tibbers restores 50% of his missing health when Annie dies, but then loses health periodically.
  • New Effect: Tibbers now utilizes the large monster health bar instead of a minion health bar.
  • AI improvements:
  • Re-acquires targets after being CC'd.
  • Better target prioritization.
  • Longer leash range.
  • Annie can target herself to have him return to following her.

Blaze

  • Damage per second reduced to 0.5% of the target's maximum health from 2% of the target's maximum health.
  • New Effect: Stacks up to 3 times, up to 1.5% of the target's maximum health per second.
  • New Effect: At 3 stacks, an area around the target is highlighted. After 2 seconds, all targets within the area take magic damage equal to 12% to 16% (based on level) (+ 1% per 60 AP) of their maximum health. The damage from this detonation will apply Blaze to secondary targets and refresh the current timer on the target. Once a target has detonated, they will not generate Blaze stacks again for 4 seconds. Until their current buff times out.

Sear

  • Base damage reduced to 80/110/140/170/200 from 80/120/160/200/240.
  • AP ratio reduced to 55% AP from 65% AP.
  • Stun duration reduced to 1.5 seconds from 2.

Pillar of Flame

  • Cooldown reduced to 10/9.5/9/8.5/8 seconds from 10 at all ranks.
  • Mana cost reduced to 60/70/80/90/100 from 70/80/90/100/110.

Conflagration

  • Base damage reduced to 70/90/110/130/150 from 70/105/140/175/210.
  • AP ratio reduced to 35% AP from 65% AP.
  • Cooldown reduced to 10/9/8/7/6 seconds from 12/11/10/9/8.

Pyroclasm

  • Base damage reduced to 100/200/300 from 150/250/350.
  • AP ratio reduced to 25% AP from 50% AP.
  • New Effect: Now prioritizes getting enemies to 3 stacks of Blaze.
  • Champions with 2 stacks of Blaze.
  • Champions with 1 stacks of Blaze.
  • Champions with no Blaze.
  • Champions immune to Blaze.
  • Other targets.
  • New Blaze Effect: Now briefly slow enemies hit by 30/45/60%.

  • Base damage increased to 75/120/165/210/255 from 75/115/155/195/235.
  • AP ratio increased to 70% AP from 45% AP.
  • Cooldown reduced to 3.5 seconds from 4.
  • Mana cost increased to 60/65/70/75/80 from 40/50/60/70/80.
  • Movement speed bonus increased to 30/35/40/45/50% from 20% at all ranks.
  • Cast range reduced to 750 from 850.
  • New Effect: Movement speed now decays over the duration.

Miasma

  • New Active: Cassiopeia spits eight bolts of venom forward 550 - 800 units over an arched area, leaving toxic clouds where they hit the ground or terrain for 5 seconds. Enemies within the clouds take 20/35/50/65/80 (+ 15% AP) magic damage per second and are afflicted with Debilitating Poison, slow them by 40/50/60/70/80% and ground them.
  • New Effect: Slow now decays over time.
  • Costs: 70 mana
  • Cooldown: 22/20/18/16/14 seconds

Twin Fang

  • Base damage changed to 52 to 120 (based on level) from 55/80/105/130/155.
  • AP ratio reduced to 10% AP from 55% AP.
  • Cooldown reduced to 0.9 seconds from 5.
  • Mana cost changed to 60/65/70/75/80 from 50/60/70/80/90.
  • Mana refund reduced to 60/65/70/75/80 from 50/60/70/80/90 (+ 1.5% maximum mana).
  • Removed: Cooldown reset versus poison targets.
  • New Effect: Now deals 10/40/70/100/130 (+ 35% AP) bonus damage and restores 5/10/15/20/25 (+ 10% AP) health versus poison targets.

Petrifying Gaze

  • Cooldown reduced to 120/100/80 from 120/110/100.
  • slow reduced to 40% from 60%.

Slicing Maelstrom

  • Duration reduced to 3 seconds at all ranks from 3/4/5.
  • Tick interval increased to 0.5 seconds from 0.25.
  • New Effect: Now damages all enemies inside but can only apply a maximum of 3 stacks of Mark of the Storm.
  • Removed: 3 hit limit.
  • New Effect: Enemies take 25% less damage with each successive strike against them, down to a minimum of 50%.

Void Shift (Innate)

  • New Passive: If Malzahar has not taken damage nor been affected by crowd control in the last 23 to 6 (based on level) seconds, he phases out, which lingers for 1 second after taking damage or blocking a crowd control effect. While phased out, Malzahar is immune to crowd control effects and takes 90% reduced damage. Damage from minions does not interact with Void Shift.

Call of the Void

  • Base damage reduced to 70/110/150/190/230 from 80/135/190/245/300.
  • AP ratio reduced to 70% AP from 80% AP.
  • Cooldown reduced to 6 seconds from 9.
  • Mana cost reduced to 60 at all ranks from 80/85/90/95/100.

Void Swarm (W)

  • Active: Malzahar spawns a Voidling at the target location, which lasts for 12 seconds. The first time a Voidling attacks a champion or large monster, or assists in killing a unit, Malzahar will spawn an additional Voidling with the same remaining duration that can in turn spawn an additional Voidling. This cannot happen if there is less than 4 seconds remaining. When three or more Voidling are active, they all gain 50% bonus attack speed.
  • Voidlings deal 30/32.5/35/37.5/40% AD physical damage plus 10/15/20/25/30 (+ 10% AP) bonus magic damage. The damage is reduced to 75% against monsters, and increased to 300% against minions below 25% of their maximum health
  • Voidlings will gain 100% bonus movement speed toward priority targets (denoted with †)

Malefic Visions

  • Base damage reduced 80/115/150/185/220 from 80/140/200/260/320.
  • AP ratio reduced to 70% AP from 80% AP.
  • Cost reduced to 60/70/80/90/100 mana from 60/75/90/105/120.
  • Mana refund changes to 2% of maximum Mana from 10/14/18/22/26.
  • New Effect: Damaging a target with Call of the Void or Nether Grasp will refresh the duration of Malefic Visions.

Nether Grasp

  • New Effect: A Null Zone is created on the floor beneath Malzahar's target, which lingers for 5 seconds.
  • Removed: Flat damage.
  • New Effect: Malzahar's target and all those in the zone take 6/8/10 (+ 1.5% per 100 AP) of the target's maximum health every second.

Unseen Predator

  • Fixed a bug where the empowered attack wasn't trigger Kircheis Shard's bonus damage nor its upgrades.

Savagery

  • Fixed a bug where some on-hit effects weren't applying to the Savagery-empowered attack - including Dead Man's Plate and Sheen.

Bola Strike

  • Fixed a bug where Bola Strike was using target location instead of target direction input. This would cause him to throw the bola in a seemingly random direction if he was displaced during the cast time, including being displaced by Flash or Unseen Predator.
  • Fixed a bug where the cast time on Bola Strike was sometimes shorter than 0.25 seconds.
  • Fixed a bug where gaining 5 Ferocity during the cast time of Bola Strike would cause Bola Strike to consume the Ferocity upon completing the cast time, wasting the empowerment. This happens if his ultimate is active.

Thrill of the Hunt

  • Fixed a bug where using an ability to exit stealth would sometimes cause his ultimate to only grant him 4 Ferocity over 5 seconds instead of 5.

Decrepify

  • Revised Active: Swain commands Beatrice to the fly to the target location, where she remains for 4 seconds. Beatrice will attack enemies within the area, prioritizing the target of Torment, other champions in range and then any target in range. Beatrice's attacks deal magic damage and slow.
  • Mana cost reduced to 60/65/70/75/80 from 60/70/80/90/100.
  • Cooldown increased to 14/13/12/11/10 from 8 at all ranks.
  • Duration increased to 4 seconds from 3.
  • New Effect: Deals double damage against minions.

Nevermove

  • Mana cost reduced to 80/85/90/95/100 from 80/90/100/110/120.

Torment

  • Base damage reduced to 50/80/110/140/170 from 75/115/155/195/235.
  • AP ratio increased to 100% AP from 80% AP.
  • Damage amplification increased to 20% at all ranks from 8/11/14/17/20%.

Ravenous Flock

  • Cooldown increased to 10 seconds from 8.
  • Mana cost increased per second reduced to 5 at all ranks from 5/6/7.
  • Number of ravens increased to 5 from 3.
  • Now spawns 1 raven every 0.2 seconds, changed from 3 ravens every second.
  • Heal from minions reduced to 15% from 25% of damage dealt.
  • New Effect: Ravenous Flock cannot damage the same target for 1 second.

Phenomenal Evil Power (New Innate)

  • New Innate: Veigar gains a stack of Phenomenal Evil whenever he hits an enemy champion with an ability, and 3 stacks whenever he scores a champion takedown. Veigar gains 1 Ability Power for every stack of Phenomenal Evil.

Baleful Strike

  • Passive AP stacking removed.
  • Revised Tooltip: Killing a unit with Baleful Strike grants 1 stack of Phenomenal Evil, doubled for large minions and monsters.
  • Champion kills with Baleful Strike grant a total of 5 stacks, combining the effects of hitting a champion with an ability (+1) and scoring a champion takedown (+3) in his passive and the killing a unit (+1) in this ability.
  • Mana cost reduced to 40/45/50/55/60 from 60/65/70/75/80.

Dark Matter

  • Mana cost reduced to 60/65/70/75/80 from 70/75/80/85/90.

Event Horizon

  • Mana cost reduced to 70/75/80/85/90 from 80/85/90/95/100.

Primordial Burst

  • Mana cost reduced to 100 from 125.
  • Removed: Enemy AP ratio.
  • Base damage reduced to 175/250/325 from 250/375/500.
  • AP ratio reduced to 75% AP from 100% AP
  • New Effect: Now deals 1% increased damage for every 0.67% of his target's missing health , up to double damage to targets at 33% of their maximum health or less.
  • Maximum damage: 350/500/650 (+ 150% AP).

Tectonic Disruption

  • AP ratio reduced to 30% AP from 50% AP.

Lifeform Disintegration Ray

  • New Passive: Deconstructing enemies marks them as Researched from 7 seconds. Basic attacks and ability damage will refresh this duration.
  • New Effect: Researched enemies take True Damage instead.
  • Base damage increased to 500/725/950 from 500/700/900.
  • AP ratio increased to 100% AP from 60% AP.
  • Cooldown reduced to 120/100/80 seconds from 130/110/90.

  • Removed: Glorious Evolution damage reduction.
  • Total damage changed to 90/170/250/330/410 (+ 120% AP) from 98/154/210/266/322 (+ 98% AP).

Chaos Storm

  • Duration reduced to 6.5 seconds from 7.
  • Initial base damage reduced to 100/175/250 from 150/250/350.
  • Initial damage AP ratio reduced to 50% AP from 55% AP.
  • Tick base damage increased to 150/250/350 from 15/30/45.
  • Tick damage AP ratio increased to 60% AP from 10% AP.
  • Tick interval increased to 2 seconds from 0.5.
  • Total damage increased to 550/925/1300 (+ 230% AP) from 360/670/980 (+ 195% AP).

Crimson Pact

  • Bonus AP increased to 4% bonus health from 2.5%.

Transfusion

  • Base damage reduced to 80/100/120/140/160 from 90/125/160/195/230.
  • Damage AP ratio reduced to 45% AP from 60% AP.
  • Base heal changed to 20/25/30/35/40 from 15/25/35/45/55.
  • Heal AP ratio reduced to 15% AP from 25% AP.
  • Undocumented / Bug Fix: Transfusion's heal can no longer be intercepted by Wind Wall.
  • New Effect: After two casts, and for the next one, Vladimir gains Crimson Rush for 2.5 seconds. If used before it expires, Vladimir gains bonus movement speed and the empowered cast will deal 100% increased damage as well as heal for an additional 60 to 315 (based on level) (+ 5% (+ 2.5% per 100 AP) missing health) but this healing is reduced to 50% against minions. The empowered cast will also count as the first stack toward the next Crimson Rush.
  • Cooldown changed to 9/8/7/6/5 seconds from 10/8.5/7/5.5/4.

Sanguine Pool

  • Health ratio reduced to 10% bonus health from 15% bonus health.

Tides of Blood - New E

  • First Cast: Vladimir begins charging, increasing Tides of Blood's damage while rapidly consuming 10% maximum health over the next second. Vladimir is slowed after this initial second if he continues to charge. After 1.5 or if interrupted, Vladimir will automatically use the second cast.
  • Second Cast: Vladimir unleashes the stored blood in a nova of bolts, each dealing between 30/40/50/60/70 (+ 1.5% maximum health) (+ 35% AP) and 60/80/100/120/140 (+ 10% maximum health) (+ 70% AP) magic damage to the first enemy they hit. Enemies can intercept multiple bolts but can only be damaged once. Minions cannot block more than 5 bolts and, if they do get hit by one, the bolt will deal area-of-effect damage that only affects other nearby minions. Casting Deadly Spines or Grasping Roots causes nearby seeds to bloom plants, which last for a short duration and deal magic damage per attack.
