Warwick was last nerfed in Patch 25.20 (). Across 66 patches, Warwick has received 14 buffs, 12 nerfs, 39 adjustments since release in Patch 0.9.22.7.

Passive - Eternal Hunger

Innate: Warwick deals 6 - 50.71 (based on level) (+ 15% bonus AD) (+ 10% AP) bonus magic damage on-hit. While below 50% maximum health, Warwick also heal for 100% of the post-mitigation damage dealt by Eternal Hunger, increased to 250% while below 25% maximum health.

Active: Warwick lunge at the target enemy over 0.2475 and bites them, dealing magic damage, heal himself for a percentage of the post-mitigation damage dealt, applying on-hit effects and life steal, and triggering on-attack effects. The damage based on the target's health ratio is capped against monster.

While Jaws of the Beast is active, Warwick is displacement immune and clamps his jaw on the target, following all of their movement. The ability can be held for additional effects.

Hold: Warwick performs the bite, and then begins to channel for 0.5 seconds, extended if the target is under effects of a dash or airborne. During the charge, he dash behind the target.

Passive: Warwick gains bonus attack speed for 1.25 seconds upon damaging a target to or while they are below 50% of their maximum health with a basic attack or ability damage, refreshing with subsequent damaging basic attacks or ability damage to enemies below the threshold. If Warwick does not have the bonus attack speed already, he also gains it upon initiating an attack windup against an enemy below the threshold.

Passive: Warwick senses all enemy champion on the map who are damaged below 50% of their maximum health by him or an allied source, marking them with Blood Hunt until they regenerate or heal above this threshold again. He sees trails leading toward them and gains bonus movement speed while following a trail. This bonus is lost for 0.5 seconds upon entering champion combat, but will build up again over 3.5 seconds.

The attack speed and movement speed bonuses granted by both passives are doubled against enemies who are below 25% of their maximum health.

Active: Warwick senses the nearest enemy champion in the area at the start of the cast time, marking them with Blood Hunt for 8 seconds, gaining both passive bonuses against them regardless of their current health.

Blood Hunt's cooldown is reduced by 30% if no enemy champions are found within range.

Recast: Warwick howls, ending Primal Howl's effects and fear nearby enemies for 1 second, slow them by 90%.

Starting Infinite Duress channel while Primal Howl is active will initiate the recast without ending the damage reduction buff prematurely.

Warwick heals for 100% of all post-mitigation damage he deals to the target during Infinite Duress.

Infinite Duress applies on-hit effects and life steal, as well as triggers on-attack effects, 3 times.

Patch 25.20nerf

Warwick is particularly oppressive in lower skill brackets of play, so we're looking to make his claws and teeth just a little less lethal. As he's often able to simply build tank items later in the game, we're nudging him toward keeping up with damage purchases by reducing his guaranteed late game damage output.

In this patch we're providing a feels improvement as a follow-up to the changes we made last month. We're starting by slightly increasing Q's tap range to make up for the difference that slightly increased his range and hitbox size as a result of the size growth. Next up, W's attack speed buff now has a much longer duration in addition to a few QoL improvements which should make our favorite dad smoother to play. We're dropping his base AD a touch just to make room for these other buffs.

  • Bonus attack speed duration increased to 2.5 seconds from 0.75.
  • Removed: Basic attacks on-hit and ability hits no longer grant the bonus attack speed.
  • New Effect: Damaging basic attacks and ability damage now grant the bonus attack speed both when damaging the target to below the threshold and while they are already below it.
  • New Effect: Basic attacks against enemies below the threshold now grant the bonus attack speed at the start of the attack windup if he does not have the bonus already.
  • Duration of the attack speed buff cannot be refreshed this way.
  • New Effect: Now displays duration on the status bar.
  • Bug Fix: Audio for hunting low health targets marked by Blood Hunt no longer fails to activate upon them reaching the threshold.

  • Removed: No longer has a separate animation for when no targets are found within range.
  • Removed: No longer is placed on a 3-second static cooldown while in combat with champions.
  • Removed: No longer is locked out of being cast while in champion combat.
  • Removed: Cooldown no longer elapses twice as quickly while out of combat with champions.
  • New Effect: Cooldown is now reduced to 70% of the total if no enemy champions are found within range.

Primal Howl

  • Duration of basic attack lockout after recasting reduced to 0.25 seconds from 0.5.

Infinite Duress

  • Undocumented: Radius increased to 205 units from 155.
  • Width of the cast indicator increased to 125 units from 50.
  • New Effect: Now only collides with champions in front of him.
  • Removed: No longer collides with targets whose center are behind him.

Eternal Hunger - Reworked Passive

  • New Effect: Jaws of the Beast can be held to lock Warwick's teeth into his target and swing around to their far side. Warwick is pacify while swinging around his target, and will move wherever they move until he jumps off.

Blood Hunt - New W

  • Passive: Passively grants 50/65/80/95/110% attack speed against all enemies below 50% of their maximum health. Enemy champions below that amount are also Blood Hunted, granting him 35/40/45/50/55% bonus movement speed while moving toward them as well as highlighting their position to his team. The bonus movement and attack speed are tripled against enemy champions below 20% maximum health.
  • Active: Warwick briefly senses all enemies and then Blood Hunts the nearest enemy champion for 8 seconds, regardless of their current health. Blood Hunt cannot be activated while in combat with a champion, and cools down twice as fast if Warwick is not Blood Hunting.
  • Cost: 70 mana

Primal Howl - New E

  • Active: Warwick reduces all incoming damage by 35/40/45/50/55% for up to 2.5 seconds, or until Primal Howl is reactivated. Once the damage reduction ends, Warwick unleashes a howl that causes all nearby enemies to flee for 1 second.
  • Cost: 40 mana
  • Cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11

Infinite Duress - Reworked R

  • New Effect: Leap effect.
  • Suppression duration reduced to 1.5 seconds from 1.8.
  • Base damage increased to 175/350/525 from 150/250/350.
