League of Legends Patch 25.16 was released on Aug 12, 2025. This update included changes to 44 champions, with 17 buffs, 11 nerfs, 16 adjustments.

Queen's Wrath

  • New Effect: If the buff would expire after starting a Queen's Wrath attack windup, now refreshes the buff's duration to the duration of the windup.

Tunnel

  • Bug Fix: No longer sometimes fails to exit at the designated location if cast beyond thick terrain due to incorrectly assuming there is not enough space.
  • Now dashes to a virtual spawned unit instead of the cast location, which is killed right after the dash successfully begins.
  • 2 Due to the implementation, Rek'Sai is attributed the kill, which unintentionally causes her to enter combat.

Renata can have some exciting builds with her passive, so we think it can at least match the rest of League of Legends. We know that this can get out of hand so we'll be keeping an eye on it in case we need to follow up.

Poison Trail

  • Bug Fix: The timing of damage by casters on the red side will now match the timing of damage by casters on the blue side.
  • Debuff now affects enemies once at the same time as they are hit when the debuff is applied instead of refreshed.
  • Bug Fix: Re-application check cadence increased to once every 0.25 seconds from once every 0.5 seconds.
  • Bug Fix: There is also no longer an up-to 0.25-second delay on the re-application check (it is no longer fuzzy).
  • Both of these changes together amend cases where, depending on buff update ticks, the caster could lose out on two to three further instances of damage on any enemy.
  • Debuff duration increased to 2.2 seconds from 2.1.
  • Now has an internal counter to apply 8 additional instances of damage at most after the final refresh, as a safety mechanism.

When we reworked his passive for Arena, we didn't expect it to transform him from one of the weakest champions to one of the strongest, but as anyone who has played with/against a decent Zilean player can attest, he makes for a strong ally. We want to walk back his passive just a tad and see where that puts him.

  • Bug Fix: Reflecting any damaging ability at any point no longer allows her own Ocean Dragon Soul buff to trigger multiple times, once for each damage instance received during the effect, ignoring its normal lockout.

Flamespitter

  • AP ratio per tick reduced to 8.333% AP from 9.167% AP.
  • Target health ratio per tick reduced to 0.5/0.542/0.583/0.625/0.667% of target's maximum health from 0.5/0.567/0.633/0.7/0.767%.
  • Bug Fix: The timing of damage by casters on the red side will now match the timing of damage by casters on the blue side.
  • Debuff now affects enemies once at the same time as they are hit when the debuff is applied instead of refreshed.
  • New Effect: Upon being affected by Flamespitter's debuff, targets now receive damage through a burn that lasts 0.6 seconds, refreshing on subsequent hits and not stacking with the flame if already debuffed.
  • Now has an internal counter to apply 2 additional instances of damage at most after the final refresh, including the final application instance, as a safety mechanism.

The Equalizer

  • Bug Fix: The timing of damage by casters on the red side will now match the timing of damage by casters on the blue side.
  • Bug Fix: Rocket zones no longer start affecting enemies at an up-to 0.25 second delay (their debuff application is no longer fuzzy).
  • Debuff hit cadence increased to once every 0.25 seconds from once every 0.5 seconds.
  • Now has an internal counter to apply 4 additional instances of damage at most after the final refresh, including the final application instance, as a safety mechanism.
  • 2 This may sometimes be inconsistent and apply one more instance at most beyond this maximum after the whole duration, when standing inside overlapping zones.
  • Bug Fix: Each rocket zone now always lasts exactly 4.5 seconds each instead of all rockets' zones disappearing at once 5 seconds after the first missile lands due to their duration collectively refreshing to the same amount with each subsequent rocket launch.

  • Bug Fix: After possessing a champion/skin that has unique floating text notifications (e.g. Kai'Sa or Sentinel), that text no longer unintentionally plays for the Viego player every time he begins possessing them.
  • Bug Fix: After possessing Kled, no longer illegally permanently retains his dismounted bonus resistances buff while not possessing him.

Blade of the Ruined King

  • Base damage increased to 25/40/55/70/85 from 15/30/45/60/75.
  • Critical strike chance ratio reduced to 0 to 75% (based on critical strike chance) from 0 to 100%.
  • Removed: Active no longer deals 15 bonus physical damage to monsters.
  • Healing against minions increased to 100% from 50%.
  • Healing against monsters reduced to 125% from 145%.
  • Healing against champions increased to 150% from 135%.

Harrowed Path

  • Bug Fix: Touch of the Void damage no longer incorrectly prevents stealthing.
