UNIQUE Passive - Cleave: Basic attacks [[on-hit]] deal 40% AD/20% AD physical damage to other enemies in a cr 350 radius centered around the target.

Stridebreaker has struggled to be a viable option since its de-mythicing in 14.1. And while we’ve buffed it a few times, the item is becoming dangerously close to being a pure stat stick, but we’d like for this item’s unique benefits to be a meaningful part of its strengths. With that in mind, we’re adding Tiamat to its build path and re-adding the damage on its active. That said, we’re concerned over how much burst is available in the item system at the moment, so we’re using that same Tiamat in order to make it unique against items like Ravenous and Titanic Hydra to prevent stacking. Stridebreaker stands alone as the only Tiamat item with crowd control and baseline attack speed on it, and we believe it’ll find a few users who really appreciate the item’s unique strengths.

Stridebreaker is an item that should be an appealing purchase for low mobility fighters who benefit from the added mobility and target access that it provides. While it is serving this niche for juggernauts like Garen and Sett, data shows that the item is still weak and has room for some additional feels good changes.

  • Unique Passive - Heroic Gait: Dealing physical damage grants you 20 bonus movement speed for 2 seconds.
  • Mythic Passive: Empowers each of your other Legendary items with 2% bonus movement speed.
  • Limited to 1 Mythic item.
  • Living Forge item: Dreamshatter.
  • Stats: 475 health, 70 attack damage, 30% attack speed, 25 ability haste.

This item is actually quite strong. but doesn't have a lot of core users that are able to use it effectively in its current state. The light buff here gives it more damage but less durability than Goredrinker, though solidly more durability than Trinity Force as an attack speed option.

Stridebreaker landed strong after its change last patch. One of our goals for the item was to give fighters a way to stick to a target for a period of time, but they don’t need to bring their unlucky foe to a complete standstill to do that. So we’re toning down how much it can slow, but keeping its slow over time. Also, we did an oopsie—the changes also caused Stridebreaker to lose 5 AD on completion. That’s fixed now.

  • Old Effect: Dash up to 300 units to the target location, though not through terrain, and at the end of a cast time deal 75% AD physical damage to enemies in a 450 radius centered in front of you at your attack range value (max. 250 distance) and slow them by 40% decaying over 2 seconds (20 second cooldown, reduced by ability haste).
