Innate: Garen regenerates an additional 1.5 - 2.5 (based on level) / then + 0.8 - 5.6 (based on level) / then + 0.4% - 2.8% (based on level) of his maximum health every 5 seconds.

Perseverance is lost for 8 seconds if Garen takes damage from champion, epic monster, or turret, or if he is hit by an enemy ability or affected by an enemy summoner spell, refreshing on subsequent damage and hits taken from them.

We’re continuing on the trend of making traditional fighter items more comparable to his crit builds and giving him better trading power before he has access to tools like Stridebreaker and Phantom Dancer.

Critical strike chance on Garen is pretty good since both his basic attacks and Judgment are improved by it. We want to continue to make space for non-crit Garen builds, so we're compensating the global critical strike damage increase and updating the calculation to properly discount bonus crit damage.

After the changes made to crit a few patches ago, Garen has been feeling a little less "DEMACIA!!!!" and a bit more "De... man see how little I can do.". So we're reverting his Arena-specific changes to help him fight back in the Noxian Arena.

  • Minion kills to max stacks reduced to 120 from 150.
  • New Active Effect: Grants a 10% of maximum health shield for the first 0.75 seconds.
