Range: er Graves

Innate - Double Barrel: Graves' basic attacks fire his shotgun to consume ammunition within 2 shells. He will reload over a few seconds immediately after expending all shells, or after withholding a leftover shell for a while. The reload time is reduced by Graves' level and bonus attack speed, and is cancelled if Graves reloads a shell with Quickdraw or expends a leftover shell. Graves is lockout to declare basic attacks during the reload time if he has expended all shells.

Innate - 12-Gauge: Graves' basic attack sprays 4 pellets in a cone, each colliding with the first enemy unit in their path, dealing 70% - 105.04% (based on level) AD physical damage plus 23.31% - 34.98% (based on level) AD additional physical damage for each subsequent pellet hitting the same target, up to 139.93% - 209.99% (based on level) AD total physical damage against a single target. Pellets deal 25% reduced damage against structures.

Critical strikes spray 6 pellets over a 25% wider cone, with each pellet dealing 50 increased damage, resulting in 101% (+ 0.67%) total damage if all pellets hit a single target.

Pellets applies life steal life steal. Only the first pellet to hit each enemy applies on-hit effects.

Innate - Buckshot: Non-champion units hit by more than one pellet are airborne, though not through terrain.

Active: Graves fires a round in the target direction that deals physical damage to enemies it passes through and leaves behind a powder trail.

Active: Graves fires a smoke canister at the target location that upon impact deals magic damage to enemies within the area and slow them by 50% for 0.5 seconds.

Magic Damage: 60 / 110 / 160 / 210 / 260 (+ 60% AP)

The canister creates a cloud of smoke for 4 seconds that applies nearsight of outside the area to all enemies within every 0.25 seconds, reducing their sight radius relative to the center.

Quickdraw's current cooldown is reduced by 0.5 seconds for every pellet impacting an enemy.

True Grit: For each stack, Graves gains bonus armor, and bonus magic resistance equal to 50% of that amount. Subsequent casts of Quickdraw and damage versus non- minions will refresh the duration of True Grit.

Graves has seen a ton of play since his True Grit buffs, and even though he's found pretty solid success with more durable builds, players are understandably still chasing those high roll crits to great results. Rather than rolling back his E buffs or pushing him further towards one build, we figured the best thing we can do is make his early clear and skirmishing a bit less consistent by dusting off an old wrench we haven't used in half a decade, though we are keeping an eye on his 4-digit autos!

Graves has a moderately successful lethality burst build right now, but it means he doesn't have much of a fallback pattern if he doesn't high roll a crit. We'd like to reintroduce his more durable builds of old by rewarding Graves more for maintaining Quickdraw stacks.

The functional result of these Graves changes should be almost nothing. He'll deal about 1% more damage with his basic attacks when critically striking.

We'd like to nudge Graves back toward having a strong sustained fight pattern and that means letting him rely on Grit and playing to stack it up. As he's getting this MR from Quickdraw, he can once again have the base magic resistance of a ranged champion. So, if you can catch Graves before he's able to stack up, he's more burstable than before, but if he's able to play the fight out the way he wants, he'll grow to be the sustained monster we all know and hate love.

Graves is a fairly popular jungler that's performing decently right now, but his builds have devolved into one-shot lethality. We don't believe this to be a good state for him because his playstyle becomes one-shot or be one-shot which isn't fun for anyone. We think it'd be better for him to have a sustained combat pattern where skillful Graves players can utilize their Grit, so we're nudging his builds and playstyle around to make him less reliant on bonus AD. Overall this should net out in a small buff once this change has had some time to settle and players adapt.

  • Bug Fix: Fixed a bug where he would receive full Fleet Footwork healing if he targets a champion with a basic attack that is blocked by minions. Energized will now trigger on the first struck enemy, instead of the original target.
  • Previously, the invisible attack missile that manages interactions such as damaging wards naturally brought along the Energized proc on-attack.
  • Now works like Parrrley or Mystic Shot; When the attack applies on-hit effects and Graves has 100 stacks, it'll apply the effect. This happens even if maximum stacks were reached after the attack was fired or by the attack being fired.

  • Crit attacks where all pellets hit now deal 59.98% of the basic attacks where all pellets hit, reduced from 73.33%.
  • Critical damage amp reduced to +0.3555% per percent bonus critical damage from +0.5333% per percent bonus critical damage.
  • Reduction to the bonus critical damage (now 66.6%) is stronger than the base crit damage change (now 81.8%) due to having the same factor but different influence on the final damage.
