Graves was last buffed in Patch 6.0d (). Across 18 patches, Graves has received 10 buffs, 5 nerfs, 3 adjustments since release in Patch 0.0-beta.

Range: edge range Graves

Innate - Double Barrel: Graves' basic attacks consume ammunition within 2 rounds, he will briefly reload immediately after expending all rounds or withholding leftover rounds for a while. The reload time is reduced by Graves' level and bonus attack speed, and can be interrupted by declaring an attack or casting an ability.

Innate - 12-Gauge: Graves' basic attack sprays 4 pellets in a cone that each collide with the first enemy unit or structure hit. This deals 72% - 100% (based on level) AD physical damage plus one-third of the damage for each subsequent pellet hitting the same target, up to 144% - 200% (based on level) AD physical damage. Only the first pellet to hit each enemy applies on-hit effects. The damage is reduced to 25% against structures.

Critical strikes spray 6 pellets over a 25% wider cone, with each pellet dealing (30% + Infinity Edge (Ruin)) bonus physical damage.

Innate - Buckshot: Non- champion units hit by multiple pellets are knocked back, though not through terrain.

Active: Graves fires a shell in the target direction that deals physical damage to enemies it passes through and leaves behind a powder trail.

Physical Damage: 70 / 90 / 110 / 130 (+ 80% bonus AD)

Total Physical Damage: 125 / 195 / 265 / 335 (+ 0% bonus AD)

After 1 second, or 0.25 seconds upon colliding with terrain, the shell detonates to deal physical damage to enemies within a wide perpendicular area and in a reverse wave along the powder trail.

End of the Line deals 110% damage against monsters.

Active: Graves fires a canister at the target location that deals magic damage to enemies within the area and slows them by 50% for 0.5 seconds.

Magic Damage: 60 / 125 / 190 / 255 (+ 60% AP)

This leaves a smoke screen for 4 seconds that inflicts nearsight of outside the area to enemies within every 0.25 seconds, reducing their sight radius relative to the center.

Active: Graves dashes to the target location, reloading New Destiny 1 round and generating a stack of True Grit for 4 seconds, stacking up to 6 times. Dashing towards an enemy champion generates 2 stacks.

For every New Destiny pellet that hits an enemy, the remaining cooldown is reduced by 0.5 seconds.

True Grit: For each stack, Graves gains bonus armor. Subsequent casts of Quickdraw and attacks versus non- minions will refresh the duration.

Quickdraw resets Graves' basic attack timer.

Compared to other junglers, Graves struggles to deal damage in the earlier stages of the game. To lend him a hand, we’ve boosted his early-game combat ability, which will improve his jungle clear speed and survivability in fights.

  • Cooldown reduced from 11.5/10/8.5/7 seconds to 10/9/8/7.
  • Damage against monsters increased from 105% to 110%.

  • Bonus armor per stack increased from 8/14/20/26 to 13/18/23/28.

  • Armor growth increased from 3.9 to 4.5.

Graves is getting some tweaks so he can pop off harder with the new Infinity Edge!

  • Editor's Note: Normally the champion's crit modifier is involved, but since the rate has stayed consistent with the new item, we will use a simpler notation while the item is enabled.

Graves hasn’t been measuring up against other Junglers, especially when he falls behind in items. We’re tweaking some numbers around so he can keep up.

We’re giving Grave’s damage a boost so his foes should be a little more careful when facing him or it might just be the end of the line for them.

Last patch we made adjustments to crit across the board and also adjusted Grave’s base critical strike damage. In doing this, it ended up weakening Graves way more than we expected, even with the new items. So we’re reverting the changes we made last patch to adjust this.

Recent changes have led to Graves rapidly rising in power in the jungle. But we’d like to help out lane Graves some, so we’re shifting some of his power around in ways that should bring the roles closer together.

Graves is currently one of the most dominant junglers due to his fast clear speed and ability to transition into a late game monster. We’re toning down his ability to clear camps in order to slow down just how fast he can reach that terrifying late game state.

Patch 2.5aNerf

Graves has spiked in both power and popularity over the last few patches as the metagame has become extremely favorable for him. We’re taking away some of the defenses he gets for free in order to limit how easy it is for Graves to farm up a few items and carry without fear of dying.

  • Armor growth reduced from 4.3 to 3.9.

Graves is benefitting too much from recent item changes and requires a small tap down to adjust for his newfound arsenal.

Graves isn’t under-performing in terms of win rate, but a lot of his power lies in his early base stats which we believe makes him less satisfying to play. We’re shifting around some of his power to give him more oomph on the more explosive parts of his kit so that good play around his abilities is better rewarded. We also hope to give him better build options by dramatically increasing the value that AD and armor pen have for his burst spell, (1) End of the Line.

Graves added to Wild Rift

It didn’t take much for jungle Graves to clear camps very quickly, and take no damage while he’s at it. We are tuning him down so he doesn’t always end up on top.
