Braum was last nerfed in Patch 26.4 (). Across 44 patches, Braum has received 16 buffs, 13 nerfs, 14 adjustments since release in Patch 4.7.

Passive - Concussive Blows

Innate: Braum's basic attacks and Winter's Bite each apply a stack of Concussive Blows to their target for 4 seconds, refreshing on subsequent applications and stacking up to 4 times. Once the first stack has been applied, any allied champion basic attack applies an additional stack to the target on-hit.

The fourth stack against a target consumes them all to deal 26 - 216 (based on level) magic damage and stun them for 1.2 / 1.5 / 1.8 seconds.

This effect cannot apply to the same target more than once every few seconds. During this immunity period, affected targets take bonus magic damage equal to 40% of the trigger damage from Braum's basic attacks.

Active: Braum sets his shield in the target direction for a duration, creating a barrier in front of him that intercepts all incoming hostile projectiles and reduces the damage Braum takes through it. The first instance of damage dealt by a champion from this direction is reduced by 100%. Unbreakable does not affect turret.

While his shield is raised, Braum also gains 10% bonus movement speed and ghosting.

Active: Braum leaps into the air and slams his shield into the ground, creating a fissure from the impact that travels forth in the target direction, dealing magic damage to enemies within its path as well as those around Braum.

Maximum Knockup Duration: 1 / 1.5 / 2 seconds
Slow: 40 / 50 / 60%

The first target hit is airborne for at least 0.6 seconds, increased if they are further away from Braum. All other enemies hit are airborne for 0.6 seconds.

A field of ice is created along the fissure's path, lasting for 4 seconds and slow enemies within the area every 0.25 seconds. The field disappears after the duration ends in the same order and speed it was created with.

Patch 26.4nerf

We undershot our Braum nerfs last patch so we're delivering another similarly-sized nerf to get him to the right spot. We're happy that he can reliably remain his team's front line, but that doesn't mean he needs to be as good as he is at starting late game teamfights.

  • Base damage reduced to 150/250/350 from 150/300/450.
  • Cooldown increased to 130/115/100 seconds from 120/100/80.
Patch 26.3nerf

Braum has easily become a top tier support with the start of the new season. New items like Bandlepipes have been instrumental in helping him and his allies stick onto enemies and take them down. Given that Braum is still looking quite strong even after the nerf to Bandlepiepes, we'll be looking to revert the health buffs we gave him at the end of last year and bring down some of his overall fighting power.

Our resident mustachioed muscle man is a little weak right now, so in this patch we're looking to put a bit more pep in his… punch. To do that, we're playing up his active brawling with some durability early on and increased damage in extended fights so he can punch his opponents into submission.

Glacial Fissure

  • Base damage increased to 150/300/450 from 150/250/350.
  • Old Effect: Enemy champions hit in the close vicinity are airborne for 1/1.25/1.5 seconds, while enemies hit in the line are airborne for 0.25 seconds. If no enemy champions are hit in the point-blank area, the first enemy champion hit in the line is airborne for the full duration.
  • New Effect: The first target hit is airborne for between 0.3 and 1/1.25/1.5 seconds, depending on distance from Braum. All other enemies hit are airborne for 0.3 seconds.

  • Fixed a bug where when Braum tried to jump over a wall to a teammate with an enemy nearby, he would try to protect his teammate by facing the enemy, but would then smack his butt into the wall and not actually jump over to safety. Braum now jumps more intelligently.
