Braum was last buffed in Patch 6.2e (). Across 8 patches, Braum has received 5 buffs, 2 nerfs, 1 adjustment since release in Patch 2.2c.

Passive - Concussive Blows

Innate: Braum's basic attacks and Winter's Bite each inflict a stack to their target for 4 seconds, refreshing on subsequent hits and stacking up to 4 times. While the target has stacks, any allied champion's basic attack applies an additional stack to the target on-hit.

The fourth stack against a target consumes them all to deal 45 - 255 (based on level) magic damage and stun them for 1.2 / 1.5 / 1.8 seconds.

This effect cannot apply to the same target more than once every few seconds. During this immunity period, affected targets take bonus magic damage equal to 20% of the trigger damage from Braum's basic attacks.

Active: Braum throws ice in the target direction that deals magic damage to the first enemy hit and slows them by 70% decaying over 2 seconds.

Active: Braum dashes to the target ally, and upon arrival they both gain bonus armor and bonus magic resist for 3 seconds.

Unbreakable can be cast during the dash.

Active: Braum sets his shield in the target direction for a duration, raising a barrier in front of him that intercepts all incoming hostile projectiles and reduces the damage Braum takes through it. The first instance of damage dealt by a champion from this direction is reduced by 100%. Unbreakable does not affect turrets.

Damage reduction: 35 / 40 / 45 / 50%

During this time, Braum also gains 15% bonus movement speed.

Active: Braum leaps into the air and slams down his shield, creating a fissure from the impact that travels forth in the target direction, dealing magic damage to enemies hit as well as those around Braum.

Maximum Knockup Duration: 1 / 1.2 / 1.5 seconds
Slow: 40 / 50 / 60%

The first target hit is knocked up for a duration. All other enemies hit are knocked up for 0.6 seconds.

The fissure remains for 4 seconds, slowing enemies within every 0.25 seconds.

  • Mana cost reduced from 55/60/65/70 to 40/45/50/55.

Stand Behind Me

  • Cooldown reduced from 13/12/11/10 seconds to 11/10/9/8.

We’re buffing Braum’s damage so he can protect his team better both in the early game, as well as in teamfights later on. Now when he shouts, “stand behind me!” You can trust he will stay there.

  • Base mana increased from 300 to 380.

  • Stun duration increased from 1 to 1.5 (based on level) to 1.25 to 1.75 (based on level).

  • Base movement speed increased from 335 to 345.
Patch 3.5bNerf

Braum and his marvelous mustache have been overperforming at all levels, so we’re trimming his ‘stache and lowering some of his base stats to bring him more in line with other supports. Don’t worry though, Braum would still want them to be behind him though.

Braum’s unparalleled frontline ability makes him one of the top picks in the Support position. These changes are geared towards reducing his damage and giving him a bit more vulnerability over the course of a fight.

Concussive Blows

  • Bug Fix: Stun duration at max level reduced from 1.56 seconds to 1.5.

Winter's Bite

  • Health ratio reduced from 5% maximum health to 3%.

Unbreakable

  • Duration reduced from 5 to 4 seconds.
