Zeri was last nerfed in Patch 26.1 (). Across 26 patches, Zeri has received 7 buffs, 7 nerfs, 11 adjustments since release in Patch 12.2.

Passive - Living Battery
Cost: 10 / 100 charge

Innate: Zeri generates 1 charge for every 40 units she travels by any means and 10 charge every time she casts Burst Fire, up to a maximum of 100 charge. Her basic attacks consume charge to deal modified damage. Zeri gains maximum charge when the game starts and upon respawning.

Basic Attack Zeri zaps the target, dealing 10 - 27.35 (based on level) (+ 3% AP) magic damage, applying spell effects as spell damage, triggering on-cast effects and executing targets below 60 - 160.59 (based on level) (+ 18% AP) health. This cannot critically strike nor trigger on-hit and on-attack effects.

At full charge, Zeri's next attack is empowered to consume all charge to deal 75 - 170 (based on level) (+ 110% AP) (+ 1% - 12.18% (based on level) of target's maximum health) magic damage. The damage based on the target's health ratio is capped at 300 against monsters.

Q - Burst Fire

Active: Zeri fires a burst of 7 rounds in the target direction over the cast time, each dealing physical damage to the first enemy hit.

Ultrashock LaserPC
W - Ultrashock Laser

Active: Zeri fires an electric pulse in the target direction that deals physical damage to the first enemy hit and slows them for 2 seconds. If the pulse hits terrain, it transforms into a laser in a line that grants sight of the area for 1.75 seconds and fires after 0.85 seconds, applying the same effects to enemies hit and critical strike for 175 damage against champions and monsters.

Active: Zeri dashes in the target direction. She will dash farther across terrain if Spark Surge was cast within 50 units of any, gaining unobstructed vision of the surrounding 800 units and sight herself while there are enemy champions within 1500 units of her.

Burst Fire Bonus Magic Damage: 17 / 19 / 21 / 23 / 25 (+ 10% bonus AD) (+ 20% AP)
Burst Fire Secondary Target Damage: 80 / 85 / 90 / 95 / 100%

Afterwards, she gains Lightning Rounds for 5 seconds, empowering Burst Fire to deal bonus magic damage to the first enemy hit, increased by 0 to 100, and pierce through enemies. Targets after the first take modified damage which does not apply on-hit effects or life steal nor trigger on-attack effects, but is affected by critical strike modifiers.

Spark Surge's current cooldown is reduced by 0.5 seconds for every champion Zeri hits with Basic Attack 2 basic attacks or abilities, increased to 1.5 seconds if she does so with a cast of Burst Fire or Ultrashock Laser that critical strike.

Spark Surge basic attack reset Zeri's basic attack timer and Burst Fire cooldown. Ultrashock Laser and Lightning Crash can be cast during the dash.

Active: Zeri discharges an electric nova that deals magic damage to nearby enemies. If this hits at least one enemy champion, she enters Overcharged for 5 seconds. Hitting an enemy champion with an ability or Living Battery attack will extend the duration by 1.5 seconds, up to its original duration.

Magic Damage: 150 / 250 / 350 (+ 100% bonus AD) (+ 110% AP)

Overcharged: Zeri gains 10% bonus movement speed and 30% bonus attack speed and an increased attack speed cap of 1.5+0.3 . Burst Fire 3 is empowered to have a 20% shorter cast time and instead fire 3 rounds that travel with increased speed. The first round to hit an enemy per cast instance chains electricity to the nearest sight enemy within 650 units of the target, up to 4 subsequent targets, to deal 40% AD physical damage. This damage can critically strike for 40 AD bonus physical damage.

During Overcharged, Zeri can generate stacks of Hypercharged from enemy champions that last 1.5 seconds. She generates 1 stack for each one she hits with an ability or Living Battery attack, increased to 3 on abilities that critically strike. Subsequent hits refresh the duration of Hypercharged. Burst Fire 3 grants stacks only against the first target hit.

Hypercharged: For each stack, Zeri gains 1% bonus movement speed.

Zeri can move during Lightning Crash's cast time.

Patch 26.1nerf

We're updating Zeri's E to crit exactly as a basic attack would, which means re-tuning some of her abilities to make room for that power.

Burst Fire

  • Bug Fix: Fixed an bug that caused her to be able to cast it during ally Tempered Fate and Fate's Call.

Ultrashock Laser

  • AD ratio reduced to 120% AD from 130% AD.
  • Infinity Edge scaling for critical strike damage reduced to 22.5% from 40%.
  • Base critical strike damage unchanged at 175%.

Spark Surge

  • Base damage reduced to 17/19/21/23/25 from 20/22/24/26/28.
  • Bonus AD ratio reduced to 10% bonus AD from 12%.
  • Critical strike chance scaling increased to 0 to 100% (based on critical strike chance) from 0 to 85%.
  • New Effect: Critical strike chance ratio for the increased damage now scales with bonus critical damage.
  • Infinity Edge scales with a ratio of 0 to 30% (based on critical strike chance).

Lightning Crash

  • Undocumented / New Effect: Is now special-cased to be sealed while Zeri is affected by all cast-inhibiting crowd control.

Patch 25.23buff

Zeri's in a relatively weak spot with pretty much no presence in pro play as well as a generally low pickrate. We want to bring her back toward those glory days of being one of the fastest ADCs in the game, so we're buffing her top-end move speed during her ultimate.

Lightning Crash

Burst Fire 3 grants stacks only against the first target hit.

Burst Fire 3 is empowered to have a 20% shorter cast time and instead fire 3 rounds that travel with increased speed and deal 5/10/15 (+ 15% AP) bonus magic damage to the first enemy hit and the nearest sight enemy within 450-units of the target, chaining up to 4 subsequent targets. Secondary targets are dealt 25% AD physical damage, which can critical strike for 18.75 AD bonus physical damage. The bonus magic damage is affected by critical strike modifiers.
  • Additionally, Zeri generates stacks of Overcharge from hitting enemy champions, gaining 0.5% bonus movement speed per stack. She generates 1 stack for each one she hits with a Basic Attack 2 basic attack or ability, increased to 3 on abilities that critically strike and 8 on Lightning Crash. Burst Fire 3 grants stacks only against the first target hit. Overcharge's duration is extended by 2 seconds whenever Zeri generates a stack, up to its original duration.

  • New Effect: Base damage is now factored into its critical strike.

Ultrashock Laser

  • Cooldown changed to 13/12/11/10/9 seconds from 10 at all ranks.
  • Slow reduced to 30/40/50/60/70% from 50/55/60/65/70%.

Spark Surge

  • Cooldown increased to 23/22/21/20/19 seconds from 23/21.5/20/18.5/17.
  • Cooldown reduction reduced to 1 second from 1.5.

Lightning Crash

  • Bonus attack speed reduced to 30% at all ranks from 30/35/40%.
Patch 12.3nerf

Base move speed reduced. Fully charged basic attack damage decreased. R chain lightning damage decreased and can now critically strike.

  • Bug Fix: Several VFX now properly display correctly upon reconnecting to a game.

Basic Attack

  • Zeri generates 1 charge for every 40 units she travels by any means and 10 charge every time she casts Burst Fire, up to a maximum of 100 charge. Her basic attacks consume charge to deal modified damage. Zeri gains maximum charge when the game starts and upon respawning.
  • Basic Attack: Zeri zaps her target, becoming projectile and applying spell effects as spell damage. Zeri's basic attacks cannot critical strike nor trigger on-hit and on-attack effects.
  • While not at full charge, Zeri's attacks consume 10 charge to deal 15 to 40 (based on level) (+ 4% AP) magic damage. Against enemies below 35% health, this is increased by 300%. She may still use an uncharged attack even while below 10 charge.
  • At full charge, Zeri's next attack will consume all charge to deal 90 to 200 (based on level) (+ 80% AP) (+ 3 to 20% (based on level) of target's maximum health) magic damage and slow the target by 20/25/30/35/40% (based on Burst Fire's rank) for 1.5 seconds. The damage based on the target's health ratio is capped at 300 against monsters.
  • Zeri's basic attacks have 500 attack range and are non-projectiles.

Living Battery (Innate)

  • Innate: Zeri absorbs the energy of shield she damages, shielding herself equal to 60% of the post-mitigation damage dealt to the shield. Each instance of shield gained by Living Battery lasts for 3 seconds.
  • Innate: Whenever Zeri receives a shield, she gains 10% bonus movement speed for 3 seconds.

Burst Fire (Q)

  • Passive: Zeri's slow application from a Basic Attack 2 basic attack has its strength increased to 20/25/30/35/40%.
  • Active: Zeri fires a burst of 7 rounds in the target direction that deal a total of 10/15/20/25/30 (+ 110% AD) physical damage to the first enemy hit.
  • Burst Fire's effects are treated as a basic attack; it can hit any enemy unit a typical basic attack can, deals basic damage, can critical strike for 82.5 AD bonus damage and apply on-hit and on-attack effects at 100% effectiveness once on each target struck. Burst Fire's cooldown and cast time scale down with attack speed, with the maximum of 1.5 attacks per second. 50% of attack speed in excess of the cap is converted into bonus attack damage.

Ultrashock Laser (W)

  • Active: Zeri fires an electric pulse in the target direction that deals 40/75/110/145/180 (+ 100% AD) (+ 60% AP) magic damage to the first enemy hit and slow them by 50/55/60/65/70% for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds. If the pulse collides with terrain, it transforms into a laser in a line from the point of impact that grants sight of the area for 1.75 seconds and fires after 0.75 seconds, applying the same effects to all enemies caught within.

Spark Surge (E)

  • Active: Zeri dash in the target direction. Afterwards, she energizes her next 3 casts of Burst Fire 2 within 6 seconds, causing them to pierce through enemies, though dealing 80/85/90/95/100% damage after the first and not applying attack effects to secondary targets. This damage is affected by critical strike modifiers.
  • Zeri will dash farther across terrain if Spark Surge was cast within 50 units of any, gaining unobstructed vision of the surrounding 800 units and sight herself while there are enemy champions within 800 units of her.
  • Spark Surge's cooldown is reduced by 1.5 seconds for every champion Zeri hits with Basic Attack 2 basic attacks or abilities.
  • Spark Surge basic attack reset Zeri's basic attack timer and Burst Fire cooldown. Zeri can cast Ultrashock Laser and Lightning Crash while dash.

Lightning Crash (R)

  • Active: Zeri discharges a nova of electricity around her, dealing 150/250/350 (+ 80% bonus AD) (+ 80% AP) magic damage to all nearby enemies.
  • If Lightning Crash hits at least one enemy champion, Zeri becomes Overcharged for 6 seconds, and gains 3 stacks of Overcharge per champion hit. Each stack grants her 2% bonus movement speed. She gains a stack of Overcharge each time she hits an enemy champion with a Basic Attack 2 basic attack or ability, refreshing the duration of Overcharge by 2 seconds in the process.
  • While Overcharged, Zeri gains 30/35/40% bonus attack speed and deals 10/20/30 (+ 15% AP) bonus magic damage on-hit, and empowers Burst Fire 3 to instead fire 3 rounds over a 20% shorter cast time that are electrified and travelling with increased speed. These rounds deal the bonus magic damage to the target struck and the closest sight enemy, chaining up to 4 subsequent targets. Secondary targets are dealt 25% AD physical damage, which can critical strike for 43.75 AD physical damage.
