Varus is currently overperforming when synergizing with certain items—his passive's attack speed scaling often overflows, limiting viable build paths, and his high mixed burst damage makes him difficult to counter. Therefore, we’re aiming to bring him back toward a more traditional marksman role while maintaining multiple viable playstyles.

- Bonus attack speed reduced from 30% to 10/15/20% (at level 1/6/9).
- Duration increased from 5/6/7/8 seconds to 5/7/9/11 (at level 1/9/13/15).
- New effect: Varus will also gain bonus attack damage and ability power equal to 15% of his bonus attack speed, increased to 30% against a champion.

- AD ratio increased from 125% AD at all ranks to 100/110/120/130%.
Blighted Quiver

- Bugfix: Fixed a bug that caused the cooldown reduction to apply even when spell shield prevented Blighted Quiver stacks from detonating.
The ability that Varus has to execute foes is too high, so we’re decreasing some of his burst damage.

- Health ratio per stack reduced from 4.5/5/5.5/6% target's maximum health to 4/4.5/5/5.5%.

Since the last patch, we’ve seen the win rate of Ability Power Varus become significantly higher than his Attack Damage builds. This time, we’re nerfing him slightly to bring the win rates closer together.

Despite our recent adjustments, Varus is still struggling compared to his peers. We’re giving him another set of buffs that will hopefully show off some of his explosive power.

Varus hasn’t been hitting the mark as of late. We’re buffing Hail of Arrows and the Attack Speed on Living Vengeance to reward him even more when he gets kills and assists.

Varus could use a small boost, and the numbers on Blighted Quiver’s active are messy, so we’re addressing both at once by smoothing the numbers out and pushing them up.

- Missing health ratio increased from 6.5 to 13.5% (based on level) to 8 to 15% (based on level).
Recent changes have left Varus weak overall, so we’re giving him some extra damage that should be effective for attack-oriented builds.

- Attack damage growth increased from 2.65 to 3.6.
The previous changes to Varus didn’t enable his attack-based builds and caster builds are still the variation of choice for the most part. We’re taking another swing at buffing up his attack centric builds, particularly for those that might want to prioritize putting skill points into Blighted Quiver.

Caster builds have been dominant on Varus for all of Wild Rift’s lifetime, and attack-oriented builds have been much weaker, so we’re making some adjustments to bridge the gap between the two.

- Cooldown changed from 16/14/12/10 seconds to 15/14/13/12.
Blighted Quiver
- On-hit base damage increased from 8/12/16/20 to 12/16/20/24.
Chain of Corruption
- Cooldown reduced from 70/60/50 seconds to 65/55/45.
We are updating the Grievous Wounds (healing reduction) system to have different levels of severity, so some champions that apply it through abilities have been adjusted.
Hail of Arrows
- Grievous Wounds reduced from 50% to 40%.
Varus could still use a bit more of a nudge to make him stronger in higher skill levels. We are amping up his execute so that players who can capitalize on his Blighted Quiver/Arrow combo are better rewarded.

- Base mana increased from 345 to 390.

- Maximum missing health ratio increased from 9.75 to 20.25% (based on level) of target's missing health to 13 to 27% (based on level). Minimum missing health ratio unchanged.
Varus is just a nudge from being in a really healthy spot. We are amping up his fun and unique ability to help him solidify his identity in the marksman roster.
