Jhin was last buffed in Patch 6.0 (). Across 15 patches, Jhin has received 8 buffs, 3 nerfs, 4 adjustments since release in Patch 0.0-beta.

Abilities
WhisperWR
Passive - Whisper

Innate: Jhin's basic attacks consume ammunition, up to 4 rounds, and fires at a fixed rate. He will reload over 2.5 seconds immediately after expending all rounds or withholding leftover rounds after 10 seconds of being out of combat and not being affected by crowd control. The latter reload can be interrupted by declaring an attack or casting an ability.

Jhin's final round attack has an uncancellable windup, always critically strikes, including against structures, and deals bonus physical damage equal to 11% - 25% (based on level) of the target's missing health, capped at 1000 against monsters.

Innate: Jhin gains bonus attack damage equal to a percentage of his bonus attack speed and critical rate. Jhin's attack speed cannot be improved at all except through growth.

Innate: Jhin's critical strikes against enemies grant him 15% (+ 0.55% per 1% bonus attack speed) bonus movement speed for 2 seconds.

Active: Jhin throws a grenade at the target enemy that deals physical damage and can bounce to up to three additional nearby enemies, prioritizing the closest enemy that has not been hit.

The grenade's damage is increased by 44% any time an enemy dies by any means after being hit by the grenade before it strikes its next target.

Caught Out Passive: Enemy champions that trigger a Captive Audience or are damaged by Jhin or allied champions are marked for 4 seconds, refreshing on subsequent applications.

Non-Champion Damage: 45 / 75 / 105 / 135 (+ 30% AD)
Root Duration: 1.2 / 1.5 / 1.8 / 2 seconds

Active: Jhin fires a shot in the target direction that deals physical damage to enemies hit, reduced to 75% against minions and monsters, and stops upon hitting an enemy champion.

Hitting a marked champion roots them for a duration and grants Jhin bonus movement speed as if he crit them.

Passive - Beauty in Death: Whenever Jhin kills an enemy champion, he summons a Blooming Lotus Trap on their corpse.

Active: Jhin places a Lotus Trap at the target location which, upon landing, becomes stealthed after arming over 1 second, lasting for up to 90 seconds and granting sight within its radius. The Lotus Trap blooms upon enemy contact, with enemies in the area at the time of its trigger becoming revealed for 4 seconds.

Jhin periodically stocks a Lotus Trap charge, up to a maximum of 2.

Blooming Lotus Traps slow enemies within the area by 35% for 2 seconds before exploding, dealing magic damage to enemies. Lotus Traps deal 65% damage against non-champions and against champions who have been struck by another Lotus Trap in the last 1 second.

Active: Jhin channels for up to 10 seconds, transforming his weapon into a cannon and gaining the ability to recast Curtain Call 4 times within the duration.

Maximum Physical Damage per Bullet: 300 / 600 / 900 (+ 100% AD)
Minimum Fourth Shot Damage: 150 / 300 / 450 (+ 50% AD)

Recast: Jhin fires a round in the target direction that grants sight around its trajectory and deals physical damage to enemies hit, increased by 0% - 300% (based on level). The bullet stops upon hitting an enemy champion, slowing them by 80% for 0.75 seconds and revealing them for 4 seconds.

The fourth shot critically strikes for critical damage damage.

Curtain Call can be canceled early by tapping the cancel button.

Compared to other marksmen, Jhin isn’t pumping out enough damage to keep up. We’re making sure every one of his bullets will strike true.

Patch 5.1Buff

Being able to put on a good performance is a priority for our Virtuoso but his damage output has been putting a damper on it. We’re tweaking the numbers so he can wow his allies and enemies alike.

Whisper

  • Bonus attack damage increased from 4 to 60% (based on level) AD to 4.5 to 67.5% (based on level).

Jhin is overpowering other marksmen in the early and mid game with his damage, and we “four-shadow” if we don’t make any adjustments this will continue. So we’re nerfing some of the damage he can deal.

Whisper

  • Health ratio reduced from 14 to 25% (based on level) target's maximum health to 10 to 25% (based on level).

Deadly Flourish

  • Base damage changed from 50/100/150/200 to 60/100/140/180.
  • AD ratio reduced from 50% AD to 40%.

Jhin has been per-four-ming too strongly, especially in lower levels of play, so we want to cut back on some of his damage so that he’s not such a menace during fights. We’re also going to increase the movement speed Jhin’s passive grants him so that there is still room for players in higher levels to outplay their opponents.

  • Bonus attack damage reduced from 5 to 75% (based on level) AD to 4 to 60% (based on level).
  • Base bonus movement speed increased from 10% to 15%.

Dancing Grenade

  • AD ratio reduced from 40/50/60/70% AD to 35/45/55/65%.

Jhin is not performing well in higher levels of play, so four now, we’re buffing one of his more difficult abilities to help him out.

Deadly Flourish

  • Cooldown reduced from 14 seconds to 12.

We’ve been looking for ways to adjust Jhin so that he can have more ajhincy throughout the game. The increased root duration on Deadly Flourish that we previously adjusted hasn’t helped much in this area, so we’re reverting that change and instead giving it a shorter cast time for higher reliability.

Deadly Flourish

  • Cast time reduced from 11 to 9 frames .
  • Root duration reduced from 1.5/1.75/2/2.25 seconds to 1.25/1.5/1.75/2.
Patch 3.3Buff

Recently, we’ve seen that in higher levels of play Jhin has been jhinuinely struggling. We’ve seen great success for other champions when adding a little extra duration to their skill-based crowd control abilities, so we’re buffing up the root on Deadly Flourish. While we’re at it, we’re also amping up the bonus damage on Dancing Grenade to pay skill Virtuosos off for executing their targets properly.

  • Damage amplification increased from 35% to 44%.

Deadly Flourish

  • Root duration increased from 1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds to 1.5/1.75/2/2.25.

Curtain Call

  • Cooldown reduced from 95/80/65 seconds to 80/70/60.

Unfourtunately for other Junglers, since the significant buff to Jhin’s fourth shot damage, he’s become too good at securing and stealing objectives. So, we’re putting a cap on this damage so that it doesn’t outdamage Smite

Whisper

  • New Effect: Missing health ratio capped at 1000 damage against monsters.
Patch 3.1Change

Players have been asking for scaling on Whisper’s execute damage, so everyone get Jhin here. In Wild Rift, Jhin thrives in the earlier to mid stages of the game, so reducing some of his base defensive stats to make his early lane slightly less powerful and giving him some more level-based damage scaling should allow Jhin to perform in the later parts of the game.

Jhin is sitting at an acceptable power level in most respects, but the strength of his utility is a bit under where we'd like it to be.

Deadly Flourish

  • Root duration increased from 1/1.25/1.5/1.75 seconds to 1.25/1.5/1.75/2.
Patch 2.2Nerf

Tuning down some of Jhin’s PvE power to keep him from lane bullying through tempo as opposed to finding good trades with his champ opponents.

Captive Audience

  • Damage against non-champions reduced from 100% to 65%.
Patch 1.1Nerf

Jhin has been over-performing in every phase of the game so we are reducing some of his power in general. His traps also gave him too much guaranteed utility when he should be using them as a combo with (2) Deadly Flourish.

  • Base attack speed reduced from 0.75 to 0.66.
  • Attack speed growth increased from 2.2% to 3.2%.
  • Attack damage growth reduced from 5.5 to 4.55.
  • Base mana regeneration reduced from 12 to 9.

Jhin added to Wild Rift

Jhin’s ult felt less like a Curtain Call and more like an intermission. Hopefully, now it actually delivers on his dramatic long-range fantasy.
