Swain’s ultimate has always lacked a little extra oomf, so we’ve decided to let him contribute more in extended fights beyond simply tanking damage. At the same time, we’ve reworked parts of how his ability feels and numbers to ensure his power remains consistent across different builds, while still leaving room for counterplay. Please note that Swain’s update will not be live until September 25, 00:01 UTC.

- Damage AP ratio per 0.5 seconds 20% AP to 15%.

- New effect: Now has a static cooldown of 6 seconds.

- AP ratio reduced from 42% AP to 32%.

As a mage who likes to get right into the fights; Swain should have both durability and sustained damage. To ensure he has both, we’re strengthening his late game survivability, which will allow him to deal continuous damage more effectively during his ultimate.

Since arriving on the Rift, the Noxian Grand General has shown how strong in multiple lanes. We’re nerfing Swain's damage and survivability so that other champions don’t feel so helpless when they're up against this general and his ravens.
