UNIQUE Passive - Thorns: When struck by a basic attack on-hit, deal 20 (+ 6% bonus armor) (+ 2% bonus health) magic damage to the attacker.
UNIQUE Passive - Entwine: When struck by an enemy champion's basic attack, or dealing any damage to them, you inflict them with grievous wounds for 3 seconds.

Unique passive - Thorns

  • Removed: No longer inflicts grievous wounds to the attacker.

New Unique Passive - Entwine:

  • When struck by an enemy champion's basic attack, or dealing any damage to them, you inflict them with 50% grievous wounds for 3 seconds.

We’ve increased the cost efficiency of Thornmail to make it a reliable item for pickup when you’re combating champions with a lot of Health Regen or Healing.

Unique Passive - Thorns

  • Grievous Wounds increased from 40% to 60%.
  • Removed: Immobilizing an enemy champion no longer inflicts them with 60% Grievous Wounds for 3 seconds.

Patch 4.1

Change

As a targeted Grievous Wounds item, the Thornmail is too expensive. We lowered its price, and made its anti-injury ability more universal, so that tanks don't need to worry about too many other factors when choosing it as a means of Grievous Wounds.

General

  • Total cost reduced from 2900 gold to 2700 gold.
  • Combine cost reduced from 1000 gold to 800 gold.
  • Editor's note: Patch notes error writes "3000 gold" instead of "2900 gold".
  • Health reduced from 200 to 100.

Unique passive - Thorns

  • Base damage reduced from 25 to 20.
  • Armor ratio reduced from 10% bonus armor to 6%.
  • New effect: Now deals additional damage equal to 1% bonus health.

  • Immobilize Grievous Wounds increased from 50% to 60%.

Slightly delaying Thornmail’s purchase to prevent rushing spikes. VALORANT players malding.

  • Total cost increased from 2800 gold to 2900 gold.
  • Combine cost increased from 900 gold to 1000 gold.

Patch 2.2

Buff

We felt applying Grevious Wounds was too far out of the tank’s control after having purchased Thornmail, so this should give more ways to apply the debuff when they need it most.

Unique Passive - Thorns

  • New Effect: Now also inflicts Grievous Wounds for 3 seconds upon immobilizing enemy champions.
