We noticed that Olaf is performing struggling when it comes to clearing jungle camps among his peers, and also weak in early fights and ganks, so we boosted his speed in jungling and early team fights.

How can we expect Olaf to rush through enemy formation when he can’t survive the initial onslaught of damage? These changes will make sure he’s less a glass cannon and more a tough-as-steel warrior.

- Maximum bonus attack speed increased from 60 to 100% (based on level) to 70 to 110% (based on level).
- Maximum physical vamp increased from 11 to 25% (based on level) to 15 to 30% (based on level).

- Shield health ratio increased from 13% missing health to 15%.

- Bonus resistances increased from 10/20/30 to 25/35/45.
After all our systematic adjustments last patch, this berserker is dealing too much damage. So we’re adjusting some of his damage to keep him from being too strong.

Ever since Olaf's rework, he's been swinging his axes with Freljordian power, and while there is a lot of power behind those swings, it’s still hard to master. We’re slightly reducing his damage but making it easier for him to pursue enemies with his ultimate.

- Shield health ratio reduced from 17% missing health to 13%.

- Initial duration increased from 3 seconds to 4.

Olaf in his previous state was struggling to keep up with other champions, and his playstyle didn’t reflect a berserker brawling to the death. Our goal with this mini rework is to increase Olaf’s ability to stay in the fight longer and become stronger and stronger through the duration of the fight.

- New passive: Olaf gains bonus attack speed and physical vamp based on his missing health, up to 60 to 100% (based on level) bonus attack speed and 10 to 25% (based on level) physical vamp at 70% missing health.
- Old passive: Olaf gains 0 to 100% (based on missing health) bonus attack speed.
Vicious Strikes
- New Effect: Now grants a 30/60/90/120 (+ 17.5% missing health) shield for 2.5 seconds, capped at 70% missing health.
- Removed: No longer grants 16/18/20/22% physical vamp.
- Removed: No longer grants 0 to 50% (based on missing health) increased heal.
- Cooldown reduced from 16 seconds at all levels to 15/14/13/12.
- Bonus attack speed reduced from 50/65/85/90% to 35/50/65/80%.

Olaf continues to wreak havoc in the jungle, so we’re hitting the base damage on Undertow and the monster damage on Reckless Swing. To ensure this doesn’t hurt his skirmishing, we’re giving his Undertow armor reduction on enemy champions in return.

- Damage against monsters reduced from 100% to 50%.
Olaf’s jungle presence has been too strong as of late, so we’re adjusting his passive to slow down his clear speed. In return, we’re increasing his base stats and lowering the early mana costs on Undertow to shift some of his power towards the Baron Lane instead.

- Base health regeneration increased from 9 to 12.

- Attack speed reduced from 1% at all levels to 0.6 to 1 (based on level).

- Mana cost changed from 60 at all ranks to 45/50/55/60.

In higher level play, Olaf has been a powerful counterpick when facing teams that have a lot of crowd control. We’re reducing the damage and the slow provided by Undertow to tone down his ability to engage on low mobility champions.

- Slow reduced from 25/30/35/40% to 20/25/30/35%.
Previously, we decreased the damage of Olaf’s Reckless Swing but did not adjust its cost properly. As the cost is intended to be 30% of the damage, we’re correcting that now.
Reckless Swing
- Base health cost reduced from 21/39/57/75 to 18/36/54/72.
With the addition of Divine Sunderer and the other changes to the fighter item system we made, Olaf has been dominating both in the jungle and Baron Lane. We’re slightly decreasing the base damage on his Reckless Swing to make it more difficult for him to bring down any target he comes across, particularly in the early game.

Olaf added to Wild Rift
Olaf’s been overly consistent as a champion who is supposed to take risks to deal damage. We are toning down his utility and early game power to make him less generally powerful.

- Slow reduced from 30/35/40/45% to 20/25/30/35%.
