Way of the WandererWR
Passive - Way of the Wanderer

Innate - Intent: Yasuo's total critical rate is doubled from all other sources. Additionally, every 1% critical rate in excess of 100% is converted into 0.6 bonus attack damage.

Innate - Resolve: Yasuo generates Flow for every 40-range he travels by any means. At 100 Flow and upon taking damage from an enemy champion or monster, Yasuo consumes all Flow to shield himself for 115 - 500 (based on level) (+ 1 per 1% critical rate) lasting up to 1 second.

Active: Yasuo stabs in a line in the target direction that deals physical damage to enemies hit, applies on-hit effects to the first enemy hit, and triggers on-attack effects once. Steel Tempest's damage based on its AD ratio can critically strike for critical damage damage.

Physical Damage: 25 / 55 / 85 / 115 (+ 105% AD)

If this hits at least one enemy, Yasuo generates a stack of Gathering Storm for 6 seconds, refreshing on subsequent hits and stacking up to 2 times. At 2 stacks, the next cast consumes them all for a new effect.

Gathering Storm Bonus: Yasuo throws out a whirlwind in the target direction that deals the same damage to enemies hit and knocks them up for 0.75 seconds, or 0.9 seconds in combination with Sweeping Blade.

Steel Tempest's thrust will fail to hit targets after the cast time if Yasuo was affected by disarming crowd control during it, but the cooldown of the ability is reset to 0.1 seconds.

If Steel Tempest is cast during Sweeping Blade, it will instead affect enemies around Yasuo at the end of the dash, or doing so immediately at his landing location after blinking while ending the dash prematurely. Steel Tempest's cast time is not incurred in this case.

Active: Yasuo raises a wall of wind that travels in the target direction over 0.25 seconds. It then drifts another 50-range over 3.75 seconds, blocking all hostile non- turret projectiles that hit it.

Active: Yasuo dashes a fixed distance in the direction of the target enemy. Upon impact, he deals magic damage to the target and generates a stack for 5 seconds, refreshing on subsequent hits and stacking up to 2 times.

Active: Yasuo blinks to the other side of a visible airborne enemy champion, instantly generating maximum Flow while resetting Steel Tempest stacks. Upon arrival, he knocks up all nearby airborne enemy champions for 1.3 seconds, revealing and slashing them over the duration to deal physical damage thereafter. Surrounding enemy champions that become airborne during this time will also be affected by Last Breath through the remaining duration.

Physical Damage: 250 (+ 160% bonus AD)

For 15 seconds after, the damage dealt by Yasuo's critical strikes gain 50% armor penetration.

A nearby airborne enemy champion is required to cast this ability. The target does not have to be visible to be hit by this ability. If Yasuo would blink inside the attack range of an enemy turret (excluding the Nexus Obelisk), Last Breath attempts to position him outside of it.

We’ve adjusted Yasuo so he will get enough crit scaling from items, alongside some nerfs to his base damage so that tank Yasuo is less of a threat to his opponents. We’ve also decreased the shield duration of him to make him less oppressive in general.

  • Bonus AD increased from 0.4 per 1% excess critical rate to 0.6.
  • Shield duration reduced from 1.5 seconds to 1.
  • Removed: No longer grants a critical damage penalty of 10%.
  • This penalty would also apply to Steel Tempest.

  • Base damage reduced from 25/60/95/130 to 25/55/85/115.

Compared to other Mid Laners in higher levels of play, Yasuo has been falling behind. To give players who have mastered The Unforgiven more room for skill expression, we’re now allowing the target immunity cooldown of Yasuo’s Sweeping Blade to scale with the level of the ability.

Despite recent buffs, Yasuo has been running out of breath in the late game. To address this, we’re increasing his scaling Attack Damage.

In Patch 3.4, we adjusted the cooldown reduction formula associated with Yasuo’s Steel Tempest ability, leading to a decrease in his overall damage output. To compensate for this loss in power, we’re increasing his base Attack Damage and the base damage of his ultimate.

Yasuo is performing below our expectations after recent nerfs, so we’re increasing his scaling Attack Damage to amp up his power in the later stages of the game.

Yasuo’s ability to take fast trades in lane and shrug off chip damage in the later stages of the game is stronger than we’d like, so we’re cutting down on the strength and duration of his passive shield.

We’ve noticed that the Whirlwind spawned by Yasuo’s Steel Tempest ability has been unreliable for harassing in lane or setting up key combos. In order to improve the feel and reliability of the spell, we’re increasing both its range and travel speed.

  • Whirlwind missile range increases from 830 to 930.

Yasuo overly benefited from the Blade of the Ruined King changes last patch. At the same time, his defensive stats are too high given his passive shield and mobility. Taking a good chunk out of his base Armor and health to help his opponents capitalize on his mistakes more. We’re also adjusting his dash speed to better match his pace from League PC.

  • Dash speed reduced from 1200 + movement speed to 900 + movement speed.
Patch 2.1Change

Yasuo’s ultimate sometimes feels more like a Last Sigh. Currently it feels like it takes too long to complete the animation so we’re speeding it up, and also increasing its damage in the late game.

  • Duration reduced from 1.5 seconds to 1.25.
