Irelia is a dominant force in lane, especially in the hands of skilled players. However, she often struggles to find impact in mid-to-late-game teamfights. To balance this, we've reduced her early-game pressure while increasing her late-game survivability.
Ionian Fervor
- Base damage changed from 30 to 120 (based on level) to 10 to 150 (based on level).
Bladesurge
- Base damage reduced from 15/45/75/105 to 10/40/70/100.
- AD ratio increased from 60% AD to 65%.
- Heal AD ratio changed from 19/21/23/25% AD to 16/20/24/28%.

Irelia has been falling off in late-stage team fights. We want to make sure her blades are striking true, especially during key moments like fighting for objectives.

Our blade dancer has been underperforming on the Rift, especially in team fights where she should shine. We think these buffs to her passive and third ability will have her blades run through her enemies faster than you can say “for Ionia”!
Ionian Fervor
- Bonus damage increased from 30 to 100 (based on level) to 30 to 120 (based on level).
- Bonus damage AD ratio increased from 25% bonus AD to 30%.
Flawless Duet
- Cooldown reduced from 13/12/11/10 seconds to 12/11/10/9.
It requires a lot of time to master Irelia’s abilities, and we want to make sure that players who have put in the time to master her can have more highlight moments in-game. So we’re buffing some of her abilities so that she can better survive during her duels.
Defiant Dance
- Base damage increased from 10/30/50/70 to 20/35/50/65.
- Damage reduction increased from 50% to 60%.
Stats
- Base movement speed increased from 340 to 350.
While this Blade Dancer has been a dominant force in the jungle, she is performing below our expectations in the Baron Lane. To better balance her for both of these roles without making her irelia-vant in either, we’re reducing her jungle clear speed, while increasing the bonus magic damage she gains from maintaining maximum stacks of Ionian Fervor.

The latest jungle changes have pushed Irelia’s jungle clearspeed to be far faster than we’d like, even with the monster mod on her passive, so we’re making some further adjustments.
Ionian Fervor
- Removed: No longer deals damage against monsters.
- Base damage increased from 10 to 66 (based on level) to 14 to 70 (based on level).
Irelia’s dash is a powerful tool that you can use to stick to your target, but the way that it currently follows enemy movement is over the top. We’re making Irelia’s dash function closer to how you’d expect.

Recently, Irelia has been a prominent and powerful pick across a variety of roles while also being extremely frustrating for players to play against. We’re cutting down on her burst and the duration of her soft crowd control, to bring her power down and alleviate some of the pain players have been experiencing when facing this Blade Dancer.

Irelia has been quietly over performing in the jungle for some time. We’re reducing the damage she deals to monsters with her passive in order to bring this Blade Dancer more in line with other junglers.
Ionian Fervor
- Damage against monsters reduced from 100% to 50%.
Mastering the art of being a Blade Dancer is no easy task. And recently we’ve seen that Irelia has been dominating games in higher levels, while struggling to find her footing in lower level games. We are reducing the cooldown on her Bladesurge to make missing a reset less punishing, and granting her better scaling to make mastering her kit more accessible. To balance this change out, we’re taking away some of her early game power to make it more difficult for skilled players to dominate their lanes.

Irelia is a strong champion in multiple positions, and is even more powerful in the hands of skilled players. However, she's also ripping through her opponents a bit too early in the game, so we're cutting down on the base damage she gets from her passive to make it more difficult for her to brute force her way through the early game.

- Bug Fix: Fixed a bug in tooltip where the wall duration was increasing with ability rank. It has always been constant at 3 seconds.
Irelia has been struggling to perform, especially in the highest levels of skill. Wild Rift has fewer minions per wave than PC does, so the Blade Dancer receives less healing in Wild Rift than she does on PC. To account for this, we are increasing her healing vs minions while also buffing her more skill expressive abilities. These changes should help her to dance around the Baron lane better.
