Kalista was last buffed in Patch 6.3e (). Across 9 patches, Kalista has received 4 buffs, 1 nerf, 4 adjustments since release in Patch 5.1.

Abilities
Martial PoiseWR
Passive - Martial Poise

Innate: Whenever Kalista inputs a movement command during her basic attack windup or the cast time of Pierce, she will dash a short distance in the direction of the inputted location. The dash speed and distance scale with boots tier. Kalista cannot dash while immobilized or grounded, and she will be knocked down by any immobilizing or polymorphing crowd control during the dash.

Innate - Oathsworn Bond: Kalista begins the game with a 20 px Black Spear that she can activate on an allied champion to force them to swear an oath with her. Once the oath has been sworn, the ally becomes her Oathsworn, causing Kalista to form a tether between her and them. While she and the ally bound as the Oathsworn are within tether range of each other, they can both interact with Sentinel 3 and Fate's Call.

Active: Kalista launches a spear in the target direction that deals physical damage to the first enemy hit.

Physical Damage: 70 / 135 / 200 / 265 (+ 110% AD)

If Pierce kills the target, the spear continues onward to transfer all of the target's Rend stacks to the next enemy it hits. This can repeat indefinitely until the spear reaches its maximum range.

Passive - Soul-Marked: While Kalista and her Martial Poise are tethered, their basic attacks and Pierce apply a Soul-Mark to the target hit for 4 seconds.

Bonus Magic Damage: 16 / 17 / 18 / 19% of target's maximum health

If both Kalista's and the Oathsworn's Soul-Mark are applied to the same enemy, the marks are consumed to deal magic damage to the target. Soul-Mark cannot affect an enemy more than once every few seconds. Soul-Mark always deals at least 75 damage to minions and executes them if their current health is below 125.

Active: Kalista summons a Sentinel that patrols back and forth on a path along the target direction, granting sight of its surroundings as it travels.

Kalista periodically stocks a Sentinel charge, up to a maximum of 2.

Passive: Kalista's basic attacks on-hit and Pierce apply a stack of Rend to enemies for 4 seconds, refreshing on subsequent hits and stacking up to 254 times.

Damage per Additional Stack: 12 / 22 / 32 / 42 (+ 0% AD)
Slow: 15 / 25 / 35 / 45%
Mana Restored: 12 / 18 / 24 / 30

Active: Kalista rips all lodged spears from nearby enemies, consuming all of their stacks to deal them physical damage and slow them for 2 seconds. Each additional spear on the target deals reduced damage. Rend deals 50% damage against epic monsters.

If Rend kills at least one target, it resets the cooldown and restores mana.

A nearby enemy with a Rend stack is required to cast this ability. Rend can be used during the dash of Martial Poise and the cast time of Pierce.

Fate's CallWR
Ability 4 - Fate's Call

Active: Kalista invokes her Martial Poise to retrieve and hold her Oathsworn for 4 seconds. Kalista cleanses the Oathsworn from all crowd control and renders them invulnerable and untargetable for the duration, and pulls them to her over 1 second.

Airborne Duration: 1 / 1.5 / 2 seconds

While held, the Oathsworn is vanished and may select a target location to dash to with displacement immunity, ending Fate's Call's invocation and reappearing at the location. If the invocation ends without the Oathsworn selecting a target location, they will automatically do so at maximum range from Kalista's facing direction.

The Oathsworn's dash stops upon colliding with an enemy champion. Upon the dash ending by collision or arriving to the targeted location, the Oathsworn knocks back all nearby enemies and keeps them airborne for a set duration, while simultaneously landing to their base attack range from the closest target hit.

The Oathsworn must be within tether range to cast this ability, and is also silenced and unable to perform movement or attack commands while Fate's Call is in effect.

We wanted to improve Kalista's performance in her duo lane so we buffed her damage when fighting with teammates.

Sentinel

  • Target immunity reduced from 10 seconds to 8.
  • Health ratio increased from 14/15/16/17% target's maximum health to 16/17/18/19%.

Fate's Call

  • Bugfix: Lucian should no longer be instantly retrieved if he and Kalista both cast their ultimate abilities at the same time.
Patch 5.3dNerf

We nerfed Kalista’s damage to make it harder for her to continuously suppress her enemies in the laning phase. She will need more help from her teammates now while farming in the laning phase.

Rend

  • Base damage per spear reduced from 10/15/20/25 to 8/12/16/20.
Patch 5.3Change

Kalista won big with the Lethal Tempo rework. We’re reducing her early-game dominance but making sure she’s still able to scale into a capable late game carry.

Stats

  • Base attack damage reduced from 66 to 58.
  • Attack damage growth increased from 3.5 to 4.5.

Rend

  • AD ratio per stack increased from 30/34/38/42% AD to 35/39/43/47%.

Martial Poise

  • Lengthened the duration of the Oathsworn channel indicator.

Sentinel

  • Bugfix: The bonus damage should now trigger Elder Immolation.
  • Bugfix: Kalista and the Oathsworn should now be able to inflict marks on a target after the target's resurrection intercepted their attacks.

Rend

  • Lengthened the grace period of kills for cooldown reset.
  • Added execute health bar indicator that dynamically calculates damage required to kill.

Fate's Call

  • Bugfix: A camouflaged Oathsworn should no longer break stealth upon dashing.
