Rakan needs to engage to set up his team for success, but right now he’s struggling to do that because of his low survivability. To lend this charmer a hand, we’re increasing his mobility, which should help him find more opportunities to initiate fights for his team and make it safer for him to retreat.

- Base heal increased from 22 to 120 (based on level) to 36 to 120 (based on level).
Grand Entrance

Rakan is a great offensive support but his long cooldown can feel restrictive and punishing. We’re giving him shorter cooldowns to give him more opportunities to engage.

As an offensive support, Rakan is more fragile than a baby bird (with prettier feathers). How can we expect him to fly into the enemies when he’s crumbling so easily? We’re tweaking his numbers so he can finally soar.

Compared to Rakan’s team-focused support build, AP Rakan has been flying high and getting all the limelight. We’re nerfing his damage so we can bring the two builds closer together.

Rakan is still flying high despite recent nerfs, so we’re reducing the damage on Grand Entrance and increasing the cooldown of Battle Dance. This should ruffle some feathers.

Bird on the street is that Rakan is a little too good at starting the party, particularly in higher levels of play. So we’re slightly reducing the amount of move speed he gains when he charms foes with his ultimate.
The Quickness
- Bonus movement speed upon first hit reduced from 100% to 75%.
Many Rakan players were not aware that his Gleaming Quill range increased with spell rank, but due to the range increase the first rank range had to be low enough that the spell wasn’t able to be used in lane. We’re looking to enable Rakan to be more effective in the early laning phase and have him not have to invest extra points into the Quill early on, so we’re flattening the range and increasing the base damage.

The Quickness
- Cooldown reduced from 85/75/65 seconds to 80/70/60.
While Rakan shines in coordinated play, especially when paired with his other half Xayah, he’s underperforming for most players. We’re giving him a substantial boost to his mana so it’s less punishing to cast a few extra spells.

Rakan and Xayah are truly a power couple in the Dragon Lane; however, the Charmer’s (3) Battle Dance has been providing Xayah with too much safety. To reduce frustration around this interaction, we’re lowering the bonus shield multiplier on Battle Dance when cast on Xayah and giving Rakan some buffs to keep him in line with other supports.

The Quickness
- Bonus movement speed increased from 50% to 60%.
Rakan's short poke range means he struggles if he falls behind in the laning phase. He’s getting a small range buff on his main poke and heal utility.
