Passive - Assassin's Mark
Effect Radius: 500

Innate: Akali's damaging abilities against a champion create a ring around them for 4 seconds, refreshing on subsequent hits. Then for 2 seconds, she gains 30% bonus movement speed while moving outward. Only one ring may be active at a time.

When Akali exits the ring, she regains the bonus movement speed for 2 seconds while facing nearby enemy champions and becomes empowered with Swinging Kama for 4 seconds, during which she cannot create another ring.

Swinging Kama: Akali's next basic attack is empowered to have its range doubled and deal 37 - 205 (based on level) (+ 60% bonus AD) (+ 65% AP) bonus magic damage.

Active: Akali fans out kunais in a cone in the target direction, dealing magic damage to enemies hit. Targets at maximum range are also slowed by 50% for 0.5 seconds.

Active: Akali restores 100 energy and detonates a smoke bomb a fixed distance away in the target direction, creating a circular shroud that expands over the next 5 seconds into a ring. The shroud does not permeate terrain, and will expand toward nearby enemy champions.

The shroud lasts for a duration, during which Akali's maximum energy is increased by 100. Inside the shroud, she gains bonus movement speed and turns invisible. Actions that would break stealth will prevent her stealthing for 0.67 seconds.

Active: Akali flips backward and, after the cast time, throws a shuriken in the target direction that deals magic damage to the first enemy hit. This also marks and reveals the enemy or the last Twilight Shroud section for 3 seconds, during which Shuriken Flip can be recast to consume the mark.

Akali will not flip backwards if she is immobilized or grounded during the cast time. Twilight Shroud and Perfect Execution can be cast during the recast's dash.

Active: Akali dashes a set distance in the direction of the target enemy champion, dealing magic damage to enemies she passes through. If this hits an enemy, she flips over them to continue the dash up to the normal range, but for at least another 150-range.

Akali thrives in the shadows, but her Shroud hasn’t always been slipping away as cleanly as we’d like. We’re quickening her fade so that she can dart through stealth more smoothly. Additionally, we’ve added a new Shuriken Flip Shroud interaction, which will open the door for even slicker shadow plays.

  • Restealth timer reduced from 0.8 seconds to 0.67.

Shuriken Flip

  • New effect: The shuriken will now mark the last Twilight Shroud smoke section hit.

  • Base energy regeneration increased from 50 to 60.

Akali is struggling after the endurance changes so we buffed her Twilight Shroud, and increased her damage in the mid and late game. This will increase her ability to kite her enemies and enjoy more success in team fights.

Assassin's Mark

  • Base damage increased from 35 to 175 (based on level) to 37 to 205 (based on level).
  • AP ratio increased from 55% AP to 65%.

Twilight Shroud

  • Cooldown reduced from 18 seconds at all ranks to 18/17/16/15.
  • Bonus movement speed increased from 30/35/40/45% to 35/40/45/50%.

Akali has been our resident glass cannon assassin but she’s been a bit too fragile recently. We’re making her just a little tankier so she doesn’t have to perform the perfect combo to get a kill and live. She will also do more damage in the mid game where she tends to struggle.

  • Base damage increased from 28 to 140 (based on level) to 35 to 175 (based on level).

This Rogue Assassin has been struggling to adapt since our changes to boots and runes. So we’re reducing some of her energy costs to help her out in the laning phase, while also adjusting some of Akali’s other abilities to make her more flexible during teamfights.

Akali has been struggling in the earlier stages of the game, especially when up against foes with longer range. We’re making some adjustments to help her survive during the laning phase while also giving her the ability to clear minion waves a little easier. We hope this help makes her early game smoother.

Our favorite Rogue Assassin is in a tough spot. A lot of players enjoy picking her up, but she hasn’t been able to pick up many wins across the board. We’re cautiously buffing her base and scaling health regeneration to help her deal with some of the poke she may face in the earlier stages of the game, to help her reach her satisfying mid-game.

  • Health regeneration growth increased from 0.68 to 0.8.

Players who have been picking Akali, even the invested Akali mains, have been struggling to make her succeed even when they perfectly execute their plays. So, we’re giving her some small buffs to help her take down her opposition.

Akali has been underperforming across the board, so you shur-ken bet we’re here to make some adjustments and help this Rogue Assassin out. We’re taking away some of her energy regeneration which was previously higher than other energy users, and in return we’re giving her some more power in other parts of her kit so she's less dependent upon playing around her enormous energy regen. We’re also looking to cut down on some of the frustrating gameplay her foes face, by putting more of Akali’s ultimate damage into her first dash. This should reduce the amount of times Akali can execute her enemies primarily with the second dash of her ultimate, after hitting another target with the first.

Stats

  • Energy regeneration per 5 seconds reduced from 75 to 50.

  • Base damage increased from 25/60/95/130 to 30/65/100/135.
  • Energy cost reduced from 130/110/90/70 to 120/100/80/60.

Perfect Execution

  • First cast base damage changed from 85/150/215 to 80/200/320.
  • Second cast minimum base damage reduced from 85/150/215 to 70/140/210.
  • Second cast minimum AP ratio reduced from 40% AP to 30%.

Akali is performing too well in the Baron lane. We’re taking some of the power out of her passive to make it more difficult for her to secure a lead in the laning phase, and harder for her to chase down enemies later in the game. A ninja should be challenged.

  • New Effect: Now restores 80 energy on-cast and increases maximum energy by 80 while the shroud is active.

  • Shuriken base damage reduced from 40/80/120/160 to 30/60/90/120.
  • Shuriken AD ratio reduced from 35% AD to 25%.
  • Shuriken AP ratio reduced from 50% AP to 30%.
  • Dash base damage increased from 40/80/120/160 to 70/120/170/220.
  • Dash AD ratio increased from 35% AD to 50%.
  • Dash AP ratio increased from 50% AP to 80%.

Perfect Execution

  • First cast damage type changed from physical to magic.
  • New Effect: First cast now scales with 30% AP.
  • Second cast AP ratio reduced from 50% AP to 40%.

Akali has been especially weak since her release. We’ve given her some better ways to survive the laning phase and capitalize on outplays like the rogue assassin she is.
