Jarvan IV is a jungler relying heavily on game pace, which requires more opportunities and abilities for him in early and mid phases, that’s where we are boosting him accordingly.
Demacian Standard
- Base damage increased from 80/135/190/245 to 85/140/195/250.
- Bonus attack speed increased from 20/25/30/35% to 25/30/35/40%.
Cataclysm
- Cooldown increased from 75/70/65 seconds to 70/65/60.

- Base armor increased from 40 to 46.
- Base health increased from 650 to 690.
- Health growth increased from 112 to 120.
- Magic resistance growth increased from 1.6 to 2.
We’re buffing Jarvan IV’s late game damage while also granting him more mobility to effectively engage in team fights.

Jarvan IV is primed for fighting at all stages of the game, but he’s been looking fragile recently. We’re tweaking his defensive stats so he can stay standing on business.

While Jarvan can flex as both a tank and fighter, we’ve recently seen that he’s been predominantly picked and built as a fighter. We want to make sure it still feels good to build and play him as the main tank for your team so we’re making some adjustments to his kit to make him beefer.
Martial Cadence
- Target immunity cooldown reduced from 6 seconds to 5.
Golden Aegis
- New effect: Base shield now has 4% maximum health ratio.
Cataclysm
- New effect: Jarvan gains 12/16/20% incoming damage reduction while within the area.
Stats
- Base movement speed increased from 340 to 350.
Jarvan players have often asked for a more powerful Golden Aegis, since the shield and slow are both small enough that the button press often doesn’t feel as satisfying as it could. While we don’t want to give Jarvan a huge buff right now, we do have some room to make some adjustments, so we’re shifting around some power to make Golden Aegis have a more powerful baseline and less dependent on having a large number of enemies nearby.

- Shield health ratio per champion hit reduced from 2.1/2.4/2.7/3% maximum health to 1.6/1.9/2.2/2.5%.

The heir to Demacia has been underperforming amongst other popular fighters in both the Baron Lane and the jungle. We want to amp up Jarvan’s dueling potential and increase his ability to support his allies, so we’re boosting the Attack Speed bonus that Demacian Standard grants.
Demacian Standard
- Bonus attack speed increased from 15/20/25/30% to 20/25/30/35%.
Jarvan is a flex pick that has strong consistent harass in the Baron Lane, and powerful ganks from the jungle. He’s been flying under the radar as a strong pick for a while, but as players have started to pick up more frequently and optimize his builds he’s risen to be too powerful, so we’re taking away some of that lane poking power as well as some of his jungle clear speed.

- Base attack damage reduced from 64 to 58.
Dragon Strike
- Base damage reduced from 90/150/210/270 to 80/140/200/260.
Jarvan’s flag-n-drag combo feels a little clunky so it’s getting smoothed out.
Demacian Standard
- Sped up dash startup time when using Dragon Strike to dash to Demacian Standard.
Jarvan IV added to Wild Rift
Jarvan’s been underperforming for a while now so we’re giving him some buffs to make him a more worthy contender.
Stats
- Attack damage growth increased from 3.6 to 4.55.

- New effect: Now deals at least 20 damage.
Dragon Strike
- Demacian Standard combo hitbox size increased from 200 to 250.
Cataclysm
- Dash travel time reduced from 0.4 seconds to 0.25.
