Volibear was last nerfed in Patch 6.1d (). Across 7 patches, Volibear has received 3 buffs, 2 nerfs, 2 adjustments since release in Patch 4.2a.

Abilities
The Relentless StormWR
Passive - The Relentless Storm
Effect Radius: 450

Innate: Whenever Volibear damages at least one enemy with a basic attack or ability, he generates a stack of The Relentless Storm for 6 seconds, refreshing on subsequent damage and stacking up to 5 times. At 5 stacks, Volibear gains Lightning Claws.

The Relentless Storm: For each stack, Volibear gains 5% (+ 4% per 100 AP) bonus attack speed, up to 25% (+ 20% per 100 AP).

Lightning Claws: Volibear's claws ignite with lightning, empowering his basic attacks on-hit to deal 11 - 80 (based on level) (+ 40% AP) bonus magic damage to the target and the nearest visible enemy within 450 units of the target, chaining up to 4 subsequent targets.

Thundering SmashWR
Ability 1 - Thundering Smash

Active: Volibear drops on all fours, gaining bonus movement speed for 4 seconds, doubled while facing a visible enemy champion.

Bonus Movement Speed: 10 / 15 / 20 / 25%
Increased Bonus Movement Speed: 20 / 30 / 40 / 50%
Bonus Physical Damage: 15 / 40 / 65 / 90 (+ 100% bonus AD)

During this time, Volibear's next basic attack is empowered to have an uncancellable windup, gain 50 bonus range, and pounce on the target, dealing bonus physical damage and stunning them for 1 second.

If Volibear becomes immobilized or polymorphed by an enemy during Thundering Smash, the duration is paused until the crowd control ends.

Thundering Smash resets Volibear's basic attack timer.

Frenzied MaulWR
Ability 2 - Frenzied Maul

Active: Volibear slashes the target enemy with his claws to deal physical damage, and apply on-hit and on-attack effects. If Frenzied Maul is used on a champion or large monster, Volibear enters a Frenzy for 8 seconds.

Frenzy Bonus: While Frenzy is active, Volibear instead takes a bite out of champions and large monsters, dealing increased physical damage and healing himself.

Frenzied Maul deals 80% damage to monsters.

Active: Volibear summons a lightning bolt to strike at the target location after a 2-second delay, granting sight of the area for 2.5 seconds. If Volibear is within the strike, he gains a shield equal to 14% of his maximum health (+ 75% AP) for 2.5 seconds.

Magic Damage: 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 (+ 50% AP) (+ 0.01% of target's maximum health)
Capped non-Champion Damage: 150 / 250 / 350 / 450

The bolt deals magic damage to enemies hit, capped against non- champions, and slows them by 40% for 2 seconds.

Active: Volibear gains Stormbringer for 12 seconds and leaps to the target location with displacement immunity, granting sight of the area during the travel.

Bonus Health: 175 / 350 / 525
Physical Damage: 300 / 500 / 700 (+ 210% bonus AD) (+ 100% AP)

Stormbringer: Volibear gains bonus health, 50 bonus attack range, 25 increased range on Frenzied Maul, and 35% increased size.

Volibear impacts after 1 second, slowing nearby enemies by 50% decaying over 1 second. Enemies within the epicenter are also dealt physical damage.

Volibear also disables enemy turrets in an area for a duration, rendering them unable to attack, as well as dealing them the same damage.

Stormbringer refreshes the duration of Thundering Smash.
