Innate - Living Weapon: Kai'Sa can evolve each of her basic abilities by obtaining an upgraded item. Evolving an ability causes her to enter a 2-second cast time. The upgrade is lost if the item is sold.

Innate - Caustic Wounds: Kai'Sa's basic attacks on-hit and Void Seeker inflict stacks of Plasma to enemies for 4 seconds, refreshing on subsequent hits and stacking up to 5 times. Her and nearby allies' immobilizing effects and polymorphs against enemy champions will also apply a stack of Plasma.

Plasma stacks inflicted by Kai'Sa will deal 5 - 12 (based on level) (+ 15% AP) bonus magic damage. The fifth stack consumes them all to deal additional bonus magic damage equal to 15% (+ 2.5% per 100 AP) target's missing health, capped at 400 against monsters.

Active: Kai'Sa shoots a swarm of 6 missiles that evenly distributes among nearby visible enemies, each one hitting their target after 0.4 seconds to deal physical damage. Minions below 35% health take 150% damage. Monsters take 50% damage. Non-minions take 25% damage from missiles beyond their first.

After our adjustments to Kai’Sa last patch she is one of the strongest carries, by far. We’re tuning back some of her base stats to bring her more in line with her fellow marksmen, and also making some adjustments to her ability to kill jungle monsters so efficiently.

Patch 4.0Buff

Kai’Sa is underperforming when compared to her Dragon Lane peers, we want to a-void keeping her too isolated from her peers so we’re giving The Daughter of the Void a handful of buffs. Including an update to Void Seeker that allows its cast time to scale with Kai’Sa’s attack speed.

As the Dragon Lane carry meta has evolved over the past few patches, Kai’Sa has fallen behind her peers. We’re taking a look at one of her unique strengths, and giving her Icathian Rain damage a boost to properly reward players for playing around her burst damage.

  • AP ratio increased from 25% AP to 30%.

The new Stormrazor has created some interesting build paths for Kai’sa, but it hasn’t actually helped her win more games. We’re giving her damage some extra consistency to make sure she can really shine in those late-game teamfights.

The Daughter of the Void has been vulnerable in lane since the changes we made to Icathian Rain in a previous patch. We’re giving some buffs to her scaling to compensate for her vulnerable early game and to help her take down enemies later on.

  • Bonus attack speed increased from 45/50/55/60% to 45/55/65/75%.

Kai'Sa has been a dominant pick in highly skilled play as well as coordinated play. We're cutting down on her trading power, burst, and waveclear by lowering the base damage on Icathian Rain, but leaving her scaling intact so she can still perform her role later in the game.
