The Cardmaster has recently been succeeding significantly more with AD-oriented builds. While we don’t mind diversity, we do want to ensure that the AP build feels worthwhile compared to other options, so we’re doing some slight power shifts between different parts of Twisted Fate’s kit.

Previously, we cut down Twisted Fate for his powerful cross-map plays and reliable scaling, particularly in the hands of skilled players. However, we went overboard with these changes, so we’ll be dealing the cardmaster a new hand with some better cards.

Twisted Fate has dealt himself a powerful hand that has made him overwhelmingly dominant in high level play. We are taking a few cards out of his deck to cut back on some of his excess power, and focusing on his ultimate range so that he can’t access almost every part of the map from the mid lane.

Twisted Fate has been underperforming especially in higher levels of play. We are making it more rewarding to players who are able to select the right card in the right situation.
