Passive - League of Draven

Innate: Whenever Draven catches a Spinning Axe, kills a non-champion, or destroys a turret, he generates a stack of Adoration.

When he kills an enemy champion, he consumes all Adoration and generates 80 + (4 per Adoration) bonus gold.

Draven loses 50% stacks upon death.

Active: Draven readies an axe, causing his next basic attack within 6 seconds to deal bonus physical damage.

Bonus Physical Damage: 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 (+ 0% bonus AD)

Upon hitting the target, the axe then bounces backward to land after 2 seconds, with the location determined by Draven's current movement. If he catches the axe, he readies an axe again.

Draven can hold up to two Spinning Axes at once.

Active: Draven gains bonus attack speed for 3 seconds as well as decaying bonus movement speed for 1.5 seconds.

Active: Draven throws a fan of axes in the target direction that deals physical damage to enemies hit, knocking them aside, though not through terrain, and slowing them for 2 seconds.

Active: Draven hurls two massive axes in the target direction that deal physical damage to enemies hit.

Physical Damage: 200 / 300 / 400 (+ 130% bonus AD)
Total Physical Damage: 400 / 600 / 800 (+ 260% bonus AD)

Whirling Death can be recast after 1 second in flight, and does so automatically after hitting an enemy champion or the edge of the map.

Recast: The axes slowly reverse direction, homing back to Draven and dealing the same damage to enemies hit.

Whirling Death deals 92^(x-1) / 40% damage, resetting upon recast.

Enemies can be hit only once per pass.

Draven's early-game damage was over the top, even outshining some of our fighters. We’re adjusting his Attack Damage while still ensuring that his axes keep their edge in team fights.

Patch 3.3aNerf

Our recent systemic changes in addition to the buff we gave Draven has put him over the top. We like some of the power his recent changes gave him, so instead of axing it, we’re going to cut back on some of the damage Spinning Axe grants. This way Draven isn’t dealing as much damage when he gets those big purchases off passive cash-ins.

The Glorious Executioner hasn’t been meeting our axe-spectations lately, so we’re increasing his base Attack Speed and buffing the payout Draven gets for kills to make him more threatening when snowballing. We’re also making Blood Rush’s cooldown shorter, so it's a little more forgiving when you accidentally drop one of your axes (don’t worry, it happens to us too).

  • Cooldown reduced from 12 seconds to 10.

While we may disagree with him that it's all about Draven all the time, we can agree that he has been underperforming compared to other marksmen in the Dragon Lane. We are giving him some extra damage on his ultimate so he can have an easier time closing out teamfights and getting those cash outs.

The Glorious Executioner has been underperforming since our last round of changes. He is good on his damage, but could be more flexible in his positioning. We are bumping up the utility portions of Draven’s kit to help him achieve glory once more.

  • Bonus movement speed increased from 40/45/50/55% to 50/55/60/65%.

Stand Aside

  • Cooldown reduced from 18/16/14/12 seconds to 15/14/13/12.

Now that y’all seem to have better mastered Draven’s axe-catching shenanigans, he’s strutting into a more unhealthy spot. We’re toning down his damage so that we can still encourage his heavy AD playstyle, but opponents should have more space to fight against him before he snowballs outta control.
