Rengar has been terrorizing the Rift ever since his rework. We’re adjusting his damage so players have to choose carefully about when to jump in.
Stats

- Base damage reduced from 50/90/130/170 to 40/80/120/160.
- Empowered base damage increased from 50 to 260 (based on level) to 40 to 250 (based on level).

- AD ratio reduced from 80% bonus AD to 70%.
- Empowered AD ratio increased from 80% bonus AD to 70%.
Thrill of the Hunt

Rengar is receiving his rework this patch! We are reworking his abilities to allow for a variety of combos. His skills should also feel smoother as you pounce in and out of bushes. His damage output will also be much more stable, allowing his opponents to understand exactly how much health they need to avoid getting bursted.

Unseen Predator
- Removed: Leaping at 0 stacks no longer grants 1 stack.
- New Effect: Whenever Rengar reaches 0 Ferocity, his next leap now generates 1 Ferocity, regardless of current Ferocity.
- Ferocity generated by a leap now displays a different color.
- New Effect: Ferocity expires after 8 seconds out of combat.
- Bonus attack damage changed from 1/4/9/16/25% bonus AD to 4/8/12/16/20% bonus AD.

- Base damage increased from 40/80/120/160 to 50/90/130/170.
- Empowered base damage increased from 40 to 250 (based on level) to 50 to 260 (based on level).
- New Effect: The attack will critically strike for 0 to 75% (based on critical strike chance) bonus damage.
- Damage against turrets reduced from 100% to 60%.
Battle Roar
- Removed: Empowered cast no longer grants bonus movement speed.
- New Effect: Heal damage ratio against monsters increased from 60% to 100%.
Bola Strike
- New Effect: Reveals around the target for 2 seconds.
- New Effect: Can be cast during a Unseen Predator.
- Base damage increased from 60/120/180/240 to 70/130/190/250.

There are a lot of different build paths for Rengar, but several of them are overperforming in the early stages of the game. We’re cutting down on some extra power while preserving most of his scaling.
Unseen Predator
- Bonus attack damage per Bonetooth Necklace stack reduced from 5/10/15/20/25% (based on takedowns) to 1/7/13/19/25% (based on takedowns).

- Bonus attack speed reduced from 50% to 40%.
- Empowered bonus attack speed reduced from 55 to 125% (based on level) to pp|45

Rengar has many different builds, but investing in durability is currently under-rewarded compared to some of the higher damage build options. We’re focusing on giving a boost to Battle Roar as the skill that is highly important for those tankier builds but not as relevant for the high-damage setups.
Battle Roar
- Base damage increased from 50/90/130/170 to 60/100/140/180.
- Damage taken stored as Grey Health increased from 50% to 60%.
Thrill of the Hunt
- Duration reduced from 12/16/20 seconds to 12/14/16.
- Cooldown reduced from 100/80/60 seconds to 90/75/60.
As players have optimized Rengar’s builds around some of the items and system changes we’ve made over the last few patches, this cat has scratched up the wrong tree and landed into nerf-worthy territory. We’re cutting down on some Rengar’s early Attack Damage in order to slightly slow his clearspeed in the jungle and reduce some of the powerful synergy he has with Sheen items.

Rengar’s early game is too strong at the moment. Tweaking down his early game so he can’t snowball as easily as before.

Rengar is overbearing in high-skilled play, but just somewhat strong for most players. We’re adjusting the Pridestalker’s power during the early game, allowing space for opponents to punish him before he has snowballed.

We’re exterminating the bugs that have been plaguing knifekitty since release. This will affect his power, particularly skilled Rengar players, so we will be keeping an eye out in upcoming patches to see if we need to adjust him.
Unseen Predator
- Bug Fix: Attacking an enemy in melee range while in brush with 0 Ferocity now grants 1 Ferocity.
Battle Roar
- Bug Fix: Casting Battle Roar after Empowered Battle Roar will correctly heal him.
Knifekitty is too reliable about deleting enemies from the map. In particular, we want to close the gap between his bruiser build and his assassin build.
