Mortal Reminder has been changed in 23 League of Legends patches. 10 buffs, 7 nerfs, 5 adjustments. Most recently adjusted in Patch 26.1.

Mortal Reminder fares much, much worse than Lord Dominik’s Regards and feels like a punishment if a crit user is the one applying Grievous Wounds. A simple stat buff hopefully brings it closer to parity with LDR.

- Unique Passive - Sepsis:
- New Effect: Dealing physical damage to enemy champions inflicts them with 40% Grievous Wounds for 3 seconds.
- Old Effect: Dealing physical damage to enemy champions inflicts them with 25% Grievous Wounds for 3 seconds. Basic attacking a champion 2 times while they remain affected by Grievous Wounds increases their effect to 40%, and dealing physical damage to a target affected by 40% Grievous Wounds will refresh the empowered effect.
While we've buffed Mortal Reminder to be a better Grievous Wounds item, it still competes directly with Phantom Dancer in terms of stats for ADC's weighing their options. We're emphasizing its AD component more so it can stand out against Phantom Dancer’s attack speed and move speed offerings.
