Moonstone Renewer has been changed in 21 League of Legends patches. 6 buffs, 5 nerfs, 8 adjustments. Most recently nerfed in Patch 14.19.

- Bug Fix: Amount of chain shield granted is now based on allies shielded instead of number of shields per spell cast.
Moonstone is weak on every champion that isn't named Soraka. We're changing the formulas to always give the values that allies of level 14+ were getting in most cases. This typically ends up augmenting the value of heals and shield by ~5% per cast, and giving shields more leniency due to them feeling less disruptive.

Moonstone Renewer is weaker compared to the other Support Mythic item options, so we want to bring it more in line so it feels like a choice worth making. We’re planning to do this by doubling up on healing in order to make it a more useful tool for the champions looking to buy this item, namely, healers. We also fixed a bug for Moonstone that was not visually reflecting the chain and another where the AOE shield was not functioning properly.

Echoes of Helia and the older Moonstone have a pretty big overlap as items that enhance your healing (even if Echoes had a damage output). Ultimately, this should help Moonstone feel like your actions influence how it impacts a fight as opposed to the healing happening on auto pilot. Now both items should be useful in different scenarios, Moonstone Renewer is a safer, chain-healing item whereas Echoes is for when you want to fight and provide more damage.

Each second spent in combat with champions grants 5% heal and shield power, stacking up to 4 times for maximum of 20%.
- Mythic passive changed to 5 ability haste from increasing Starlit Grace's heal by 8.

Moonstone has been eclipsing the other enchanter support options. It offers a little too much sustain with relatively little risk, so we’re tuning down the bonus shields and heals to bring it in line with other enchanter mythic items.

The Moonstone buff in Patch 11.9 was not enough. We’re increasing its healing and shielding power which should boost its strength for all Enchanters.

- Mythic passive changed to increasing Starlit Grace's heal by 10 from 5 ability haste.

- Bug Fix: Seraphine can no longer trigger Starlit Grace heal when Stage Presence grants Notes based on nearby allies. She should only be able to trigger Starlit Grace when she directly damages enemies and casts actual abilities on allies.
- Bug Fix: Fixed a bug where AoE shields like Defiance and Surround Sound would not trigger Starlit Grace.
- Bug Fix: Fixed a bug where Lux would trigger Starlit Grace by casting Lucent Singularity, regardless of if she hit an enemy.
Moonstone is crowding out choice and generally overperforming, especially when purchased very early and starts snowballing. We’re reducing some of its early healing power.
