Sett was last buffed in Patch 6.2b (). Across 14 patches, Sett has received 8 buffs, 3 nerfs, 3 adjustments since release in Patch 3.0.

Abilities
Pit GritWR
Passive - Pit Grit

Innate: Sett's basic attacks alternate between a Left Punch and a Right Punch on-attack. Sett begins attacking with a Left Punch, and will reset back to it after 2 seconds of not performing a Right Punch.

Sett's Right Punch attacks at 8 times the Left Punch's attack speed, and deals 5 - 75 (based on level) (+ 50% bonus AD) bonus physical damage.

Innate: Sett regenerates an additional 0.25 / 0.5 / 1 / 2 health per second for every 5% of his missing health.

Knuckle DownWR
Ability 1 - Knuckle Down
CD: 9.5 / 8 / 6.5 / 5

Active: Sett empowers his next two basic attacks within 5 seconds to deal bonus physical damage, capped at 100 damage against monsters.

Bonus Physical Damage: 5 / 20 / 35 / 50 (+ 1% (+ 0.13% per 100 AD) of target's maximum health)
Total Bonus Damage: 10 / 40 / 70 / 100 (+ 2% (+ 2 to 5% per 100 AD) of target's maximum health)

For 1.5 seconds, Sett also gains 30% bonus movement speed when he moves towards enemy champions.

Knuckle Down resets Sett's basic attack timer. The empowered attacks are guaranteed to be a Left Punch followed by a Right Punch, resetting Sett's current Pit Grit state (if applicable) and ignoring the usual time-out period for a follow-up Right Punch.

Ability 2 - Haymaker
CD: 16 / 14.5 / 13 / 11.5

Passive: Sett stores 100% of post-mitigation damage taken as Grit on his resource bar, up to 50% of his maximum health. Each instance of stored Grit decays by 30% every second after 4 seconds.

Damage: 80 / 105 / 130 / 155 (+ 25% (+ 10% per 100 bonus AD) of expended Grit)

Active: Sett immediately gains a shield equal to his expended Grit for 3 seconds, decaying after 0.75 seconds, and charges up a strike over the cast time.

After the cast time, he unleashes a blast in a cone in the target direction, dealing physical damage to enemies within the area, and true damage instead to all those in the center.

FacebreakerWR
Ability 3 - Facebreaker
CD: 14 / 12.5 / 11 / 9.5

Active: Sett pulls in enemies at his front and back in the target direction, dealing them physical damage and slowing them by 50% for 0.5 seconds.

Physical Damage: 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 (+ 60% AD)

If Facebreaker affects at least one enemy on each side, all enemies are stunned for 1 second upon landing.

Sett is unable to move or attack for 0.25 seconds after Facebreaker's cast time.

The Show StopperWR
Ability 4 - The Show Stopper
CD: 80 / 70 / 60

Active: Sett suppresses and reveals the target enemy champion and dashes with displacement immunity to their location, attaching them to himself on arrival and carrying them another 600 units in the same direction. Upon completing the dash, Sett slams the target into the ground, creating a massive shockwave at the impact area and quickly slides another 250 units beyond the impact location.

Physical Damage: 200 / 300 / 400 (+ 100% bonus AD) (+ 0.01% of primary target's bonus health)
Minimum Physical Damage: 50 / 75 / 100 (+ 25% bonus AD) (+ 0.05% of primary target's bonus health)

Enemies within the epicenter take physical damage, and those outside of the epicenter but within the impact area take physical damage that is reduced by up to 75% based on distance from it. All targets hit are slowed by 99% for 1 second.

The dash will end and create the impact prematurely upon encountering terrain that cannot be dashed through, whether by distance or invalid space.

Sett should feel stronger in early games. We want him to be able to suppress his enemies, so we’re boosting his abilities in the laning phase, which will improve his power to chase and kite.

We’re boosting Sett’s damage early, as well as the damage of his Haymaker so he can make a big impact in Lane.

Sett is another one of our darlings in the Baron Lane that has been absolutely dominating with the new items. He is also getting some tweaks so his opponents can keep up with his jabs.

Sett’s base Attack Damage is low especially when compared to other fighters, so we’re making him hit harder but slower. We want this boss to throw those heavy Haymakers, not fast jabs.

Sett has fallen behind other fighters, especially in higher levels of play. To sett him up for success, we’re beefing up the bonus Attack Damage ratio associated with his Haymake active.

  • AD grit ratio increased from 15% per 100 bonus AD to 20%.

Sett has been struggling to hold his own, so we’re sett-ing things straight, and increasing the AD ratio associated with his Haymaker ability and reducing the cooldown of Facebreaker. This should provide even more opportunities for skilled Sett players to disrupt enemy champions during teamfights and skirmishes.

  • Cooldown reduced from 14/12.5/11/9.5 seconds to 13/11.5/10/8.5.

Haymaker

  • AD grit ratio increased from 10% per 100 bonus AD to 15%.
  • Cooldown reduced from 80/70/60 seconds to 70/65/60.

Sett is currently one of the most dominant fighter champions, so we’re dialing back some of his early-to-mid game power to put him more in line with other Baron Laners.

Pit Grit

  • Health regeneration per second reduced from 0.5/0.9/1.4/2 (at level 1/5/9/13) to 0.25/0.5/1/2 (at level 1/5/9/13).

Knuckle Down

  • Base damage reduced from 10/25/40/55 to 5/20/35/50.
Patch 3.0aNerf

Normally I would say you all should sett down and brace yourself for this one, but I think most of you will be standing and cheering for this next change. We know that Sett has been a dominating force in the Baron Lane and jungle, especially in the early game since his release. We’re reducing some of his early game power so he can still be a boss, just a boss who's more in line with his fellow sparring partners on the Rift.

  • Base bonus attack speed reduced from 20% to 10%.
  • Attack speed growth reduced from 2.2% to 1.7%.

  • Base damage reduced from 6 to 90 (based on level) to 5 to 75 (based on level).
