In the current patch, Ambessa’s late-game cleanup and passive damage exceed reasonable counterplay, drifting off from her core design of precise positioning to trigger her passive. We're removing her passive refresh mechanic and shifting part of the damage into her first ability’s burst for better fight rhythm, while adding armor penetration and ability vamp to balance the tradeoff, plus her second ability gains new outplay depth.
Drakehound's Step

- •Removed: No longer scales with 1.5% (+ 2% per 100 bonus AD) target's maximum health.

Public Execution
- •Removed - Passive: Scoring a champion takedown with 3 seconds of damaging them will restore 200 energy and reset all basic ability cooldowns. This will also heal Ambessa based on her missing health from 25/50/75 (+ 45% bonus AD) to 75/150/225 (+ 90% bonus AD).
- •New effect - Passive: Ambessa gains 10/20/30% armor penetration. Her abilities heal her for 10/12.5/15% post-mitigation damage dealt, with the amount reduced to 25% against minions and 40% against monsters.
- •New effect: Ambessa gains 30/40/50% incoming damage reduction while performing the suppression.
En Garde! We’ve reworked the Duelist’s weak spot mechanic to allow frequent weak spot hits in late-game teamfights. The passive now marks enemies’ vital points more quickly, and the ultimate removes the activation delay— now Fiora is able to break vital points immediately. The movement speed of Lunge also now scales with move speed, increasing flexibility after multiple vital hits. The range for targeting vitals has been increased, and you can now select neutral temporary targets.
Duelist's Dance
- •Vital cooldown increased from 1.75 seconds to 2/1.75/1.5/1.25 (at level 0/1/2/3) (based on Grand Challenge's Rank).
Lunge
- •Base damage reduced from 85/95/105/115 to 75/85/95/105.
- •Editor's Note: Patch notes error writes 75/85/95/10 instead of 75/85/95/105.
- •New effect: Dash speed now scales with movement speed.
- •New effect: Can now hit lower priority targets including wards, traps, and Honeyfruit.
- •New effect: Stab gains increased range against Vitals.
Grand Challenge
- •Removed: Vitals no longer have a 0.5-second delay.
- •New effect: Casting will overwrite any vitals on the target.
- •New effect - Passive: Duelist's Dance vital cooldown is reduced. See notes on Duelist's Dance.
