Ability DetailsFull kit, stats, and scaling
HeadshotWR
Passive - Headshot

Innate: Caitlyn's basic attacks generate a stack on-attack, doubled if she is within brush. At 6 stacks-or 5 while in brush-her next basic attack will consume all stacks on-attack to become a Headshot.

Headshot: Caitlyn's basic attack has an uncancellable windup and deals bonus physical damage equal to 50% - 100% (based on level) AD (+ critical damage critical strike chance).

Enemies affected by Yordle Snap Trap or 90 Caliber Net can grant an additional Headshot against them at 1300 range within 1.8 seconds, without consuming stacks. Each method grants only one Headshot at a time.

Piltover PeacemakerWR
Ability 1 - Piltover Peacemaker
Cost: 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 mana
CD: 9 / 8 / 7 / 6
Cast Time: 0.625
Range: 1150

Active: Caitlyn fires a shot in the target direction that deals physical damage to enemies hit. The shot expands in width after the first target hit, but deals only 60% damage afterward.

Physical Damage: 60 / 110 / 160 / 210 (+ 125% / 140% / 155% / 170% AD)
Reduced Damage: 36 / 66 / 96 / 126 (+ 75% / 84% / 93% / 102% AD)

Enemies affected by Yordle Snap Trap or 90 Caliber Net will take full damage from Piltover Peacemaker.

Yordle Snap TrapWR
Ability 2 - Yordle Snap Trap
Cost: 20 Mana + 1 Charge
CD: 0.5
Cast Time: 0.25
Range: 675

Active: Caitlyn sets a trap at the target location that remains for 30 seconds. The trap arms over 1 second and grants sight of the area for 1 second afterwards.

Maximum Charges: 2 / 3 / 4 / 5

The next enemy champion that springs the trap is rooted for 1.5 seconds. They are also revealed for 3 seconds, during which they will not trigger other traps.

Caitlyn periodically stocks a Yordle Snap Trap charge, up to a maximum amount. Deploying active traps beyond the maximum will destroy the oldest one.

90 Caliber NetWR
Ability 3 - 90 Caliber Net
Cost: 75 mana
CD: 16 / 14 / 12 / 10
Cast Time: 0.15
Range: 725
Effect Radius: 140

Active: Caitlyn fires a net in the target direction and recoils 390 units backwards. The net deals magic damage to the first enemy hit and slows them by 50% for 1.5 seconds.

Magic Damage: 70 / 120 / 170 / 220 (+ 80% AP)

Caitlyn will not dash backwards if she is immobilized or grounded during the cast time. Abilities can be cast during the dash.

Ace in the HoleWR
Ability 4 - Ace in the Hole
Cost: 100 mana
CD: 65 / 55 / 45
Cast Time: 0.375
Range: 1750 / 2250 / 2750

Active: Caitlyn locks onto the target enemy champion and channels for 1.5 seconds, revealing them both.

Physical damage: 200 / 375 / 550 (+ 200% bonus AD) (+ 20% target's missing health)

Upon completion, she fires a bullet onto the target that deals physical damage to the first enemy champion it hits.

Caitlyn Changes

Patch 6.3f

Buff

Caitlyn’s been losing some of her mid-game aim, so we’re upping her Attack Damager per level to help her stay on target after lane.

Stats

  • Attack damage growth increased from 4 to 4.5.

Patch 6.0

Buff

Stats

  • Base health increased from 570 to 600.
  • Armor growth increased from 3.9 to 4.5.
  • Health growth increased from 115 to 128.
  • Magic resistance growth increased from 0.8 to 1.4.

Patch 4.3a

Buff

The Sheriff of Piltover is always ready to catch and take down any foes that get in her way. However, we wanted to give her traps a little boost so that it’s harder for enemies to escape Piltover’s finest.

Yordle Snap Trap

  • Recharge time reduced from 30/24/18/12 seconds to 27/22/17/12.

Patch 4.2

Buff

Stats

  • Base attack range increased from 650 to 675.
  • Base attack speed bonus increased from 20% to 30%.
  • Base movement speed increased from 325 to 335.
  • Attack speed growth increased from 2.2% to 3.2%.
  • Attack damage growth increased from 3.6 to 4.

Yordle Snap Trap

  • New effect: Smart casting will target the nearest enemy.

Patch 4.0b

Nerf

Caitlyn has been locked in and solving cases left and right, dominating the Dragon Lane for quite some time now. Currently, we believe she’s more powerful than needed, and is suppressing a lot of the weaker and lower range Dragon Lane carries. So this time we’re the one solving the cases, and are bringing down her base Attack Damage to give her foes a little extra breathing room in the earlier stages of the game.

Stats

  • Base attack damage reduced from 58 to 54.

Patch 3.5

Change

General

  • : New voice-over.

Piltover Peacemaker

  • Cast time changed from 0.64 seconds to 0.64-X (based on bonus attack speed).

Patch 3.3

Buff

Ace in the Hole

  • Cooldown reduced from 70/60/50 seconds to 65/55/45.

Patch 2.6

Nerf

The Sheriff of Piltover has been looking a bit strong since she’s made her debut appearance. Her ultimate has been used too effectively as a poke tool, so we are cutting down on its base damage. We still want to preserve the power of Ace in the Hole to execute Caitlyn’s enemies, but want to make sure it’s being used to close a case, not open one.

Ace in the Hole

  • Base damage reduced from 300/525/750 to 200/375/550.

Patch 2.5a
