Divine Sunderer Changes

Patch 13.10

change

We’re nerfing Sunderer to be less of a Tank counter especially in lane, and ideally less of a general pick up because it’s simply strong.

General

  • Spellblade AD ratio increased to 160% base AD from 125%.
  • Spellblade health ratio reduced to 4% of target's maximum health from 6%.
  • Spellblade healing changed to 88% base AD (+ 2.2% of target's maximum health) from 68.75% base AD (+ 3.3% of target's maximum health).

Patch 12.16

nerf

General

  • Undocumented: Spellblade heal reverted to 65% pre-mitigation damage from 55%.

General

  • Undocumented/Bug Fix: Spellblade heal reduced to 55% pre-mitigation damage from 65%.

Patch 12.15

nerf

Now that the dust has settled from the Divine Sunderer changes on Patch 12.13 it’s still performing a bit stronger than we’d like it to. We’re opting to decrease the amount of healing this item provides to bring it more in line with other mythic options.

General

  • Spellblade heal reduced to 55% pre-mitigation damage from 65%.

Patch 12.13

change

Divine Sunderer is currently doing its job a bit too well. Not only is it helping fighters play into tanks, it’s also helping them play better into everyone in general. With this update, we’re looking to shift Sunderer’s power away from shredding tanks and into a comparatively lower damage/higher sustain option for fighters.

General

  • Spellblade health ratio reduced to 6% of target's maximum health from 12%.
  • New Effect: Spellblade now additionally scales off of 125% base AD.
  • Spellblade heal increased to 65% pre-mitigation damage from 50%.
  • Heal changed to 81.25% base AD (+ 3.9% of target's maximum health) from 6%.
  • Mythic passive hybrid penetration reduced to 3% from 5%.

Patch 12.10

nerf

General

  • Spellblade heal reduced to 6% of target's maximum health from 7.8%.

Patch 12.6

nerf

General

  • Removed: No longer has a minimum heal of 97.5% base AD.

Patch 12.3

change

General

  • New Recipe: Caulfield's Warhammer + Sheen + Kindlegem + 700 gold = 3300 gold.
  • Old Recipe: Phage + Sheen + Kindlegem + 700 gold = 3300 gold.
  • Attack damage increased to 40 from 35.
  • Health reduced to 300 from 400.
  • Deicide attack damage increased to 60 from 55.
  • Deicide health reduced to 450 from 550.

Patch 11.17

nerf

Divine Sunderer has been the go-to choice for fighters all across the spectrum, and even some marksmen. We're looking to nerf its generic power to let its more aggressive item competitors outshine it when they're supposed to.

General

  • Attack damage reduced to 35 from 40.

Patch 11.14

change

General

  • Bug Fix: Spellblade's healing projectile no longer interrupts the user's attack windup.

Patch 11.13

nerf

Divine Sunderer's been overperforming on a number of ranged champs (not just Ezreal, but definitely Ezreal). Before its 11.11 buffs, it was already very strong for these folks, but was an unpopular purchase. Now that it’s on the radar, we’re pulling back on its power pre-11.11 and a little more.

General

  • Spellblade damage for ranged champions reduced to 9% of target's maximum health from 12%.
  • Spellblade healing for ranged champions reduced to 3.6% of target's maximum health from 4.8%.

Patch 11.11

buff

Sunderer has been feeling more mediocre than divine. Fighters are finding more success with Trinity Force and tank Mythics, so we’re giving Sunderer a much needed bump up.

General

  • Spellblade damage increased to 12% of target's maximum health from 10%.
  • Spellblade healing increased to 7.8% of target's maximum health from 5%.
  • Minimum spellblade healing increased to 97.5% base AD from 75%.

Patch 10.24

nerf

General

  • Removed: Maximum health damage no longer applies against turrets.

new
