Solari Chargeblade has been changed in 8 patches since release in Patch 2.4. 3 buffs, 2 nerfs, 3 adjustments. Removed in Patch 6.2.
We’re adjusting the price and ability to make Solari Chargeblade more cost-efficient.
General
- Total cost reduced from 3100 gold to 3000 gold.
- Combine cost reduced from 900 gold to 800 gold.
Unique passive - Sunburst
- Base damage increased from 38 to 80 (based on level) to 50 to 92 (based on level).
Despite being the primary caster attack speed crit item, Solari Chargeblade often gets beat out by other attack speed items in the later slots for crit caster carries. Some adjustments to the stats here should help Chargeblade be a more competitive option for a larger cast of champions.
General
- Ability haste increased from 15 to 20.
- Attack speed increased from 30% to 40%.
When we re-worked Chargeblade during 3.1 we played it safe with its values, but we kept a close eye on the item. Since then, we feel confident in increasing its power more for all the crit caster carries out there.
Unique passive - Sunburst
- Base damage increased from 33 to 75 (based on level) to 38 to 80 (based on level).
Solari Chargeblade was intended as an item to bridge the gap between caster builds and crit for caster marksmen such as Miss Fortune and Lucian, but the sheer amount of critical strike chance it granted made it significantly more powerful for bridging the gap between light fighter and crit assassin builds for champions like Riven and Rengar. We’re removing that bonus critical strike chance and instead allowing the Radiance damage to critically strike to put this item back in the hands of more crit-based champions.
Unique passive - Sunburst
- Removed: Radiance stacks no longer grant 25% bonus critical strike chance.
- Damage increased from 24 to 52 (based on level) to 33 to 75 (based on level).
- New Effect: Damage can now critically strike.
- Removed: Damage is no longer increased by 0 to 150% (based on target's missing health).
General
- Updated VFX.
While True Damage was exciting, it meant that Chargeblade was too universal in killing tanks, fighters and squishies alike. We’re sharpening it to be less optimal in the general situation and more optimal when the enemy team has a lot of squishier targets to burst down.

Solari Chargeblade is packing too much of a punch for its price, so we are increasing its cost.

Solari Chargeblade added to Wild Rift
Recipe:
- Stinger + Cloak of Agility + 800 gold = 3000 gold.
Stats:
- 30% attack speed, 25% critical strike chance, 25 ability haste.
Unique Passive - Sunburst:
- Using an ability gathers Radiance, up to 3 charges, which grants 25% bonus critical strike chance for up to 10 seconds. Basic attacks that critically strike expend a charge of Radiance to deal 26 to 40 (based on level) bonus true damage on-hit, increased by 0 to 150% (based on target's missing health). Each unique ability may only store a charge once every 2 seconds.
