With its broad use case, Plated Steelcaps has an amazing defensive ability. Our goal with these adjustments is to give players more options in the boots category, so that Plated Steelcaps isn’t always the best in slot pick up.

Nerf

Currently, Plated Steelcaps are too strong of a pick up, especially when facing assassins, fighters and marksmen. So, we’re slightly adjusting its stats to tone down some of its power.

  • Recipe: Boots of Speed + 600 gold = 1000 gold.
  • Stats: 20 armor, 45 movement speed.
  • Unique Passive - Block: Blocks 15% of incoming damage from basic attacks.

We’ve removed the active ability portion on boots, so that you have more of an incentive to purchase your upgraded kicks sooner.

Unique Passive - Footwear:

  • +40 movement speed.

Unique Passive - Enhanced:

  • +15 armor.

Unique Passive - Block:

  • Blocks 15% of damage from basic attacks.

Unique Active - Sprint:

  • Increases movement speed by 15% for 3 seconds. Dealing or taking damage from champions removes this effect (60 second cooldown).
