Patch 6.0c
NerfRod of Ages takes too long to stack, which makes it difficult for champions who build it to have sufficient power in their mid-game fights. So, we’re shortening its stacking time.

Patch 5.1c
ChangeWe’re making sure Rod of Ages is providing more stats to champs in the late game so that it remains an attractive pickup for players.
Unique passive - Veteran
- Stack timer reduced from 45 seconds to 40.
- Health per stack increased from 20 to 25.
- Health at max stacks increased from 200 to 250.
Patch 4.4
BuffGeneral
- Magic penetration increased from 0% to 7%.
Patch 2.6
NewRod Of Ages added to Wild Rift
Rod of Ages has been a first item choice for almost all mana-based Ability Power champs in the game. Stacks are being acquired too quickly, so we are slowing the rate of stack generation in order to make this a scaling item.
Unique Passive - Veteran
- Stacking rate changed from every 30 seconds to 45.
- Time to fully stack increased from 5:00 to 7:30.
