Patch 7.3

Nerf

Luden’s Echo has been a little too effective at spreading its damage across multiple targets. We’re reducing its multi-target damage while leaving its single-target power unchanged, keeping it effective when you’re focused on bursting down one opponent.

Echo

  • Your next damaging ability or empowered basic attack deals 75 + 8% Ability Power magic damage to the primary target and up to 5 nearby enemies. For each fewer target hit by Echo, the primary target takes an additional 20 + 1.2% Ability Power magic damage. (9 second cooldown)

Patch 7.2b

Buff

We're happy with the overall state of high-tier mage items, but Luden's Echo has fallen behind the rest. Despite its solid stat efficiency, it's underperforming across the board, so we're strengthening its passive to better reinforce the item's burst mage identity.

Echo

  • Damage: 110 + 10% Ability Power → 140 + 15% Ability Power
  • Cooldown: 10 → 9

Change

We want Luden's Echo to offer more early-game strength for burst mages, and we have also reworked its complex charge mechanic.

  • Price: 2900 →2800
  • Build Path: Lost Chapter (900) + Blasting Wand (800) + Ring of Revelation (400) + 800 →Lost Chapter (1200) + Hextech Alternator (1100) + 500
  • Ability Power: 85→ 100
  • Max Mana: 300 → 500
  • Ability Haste: 20 → 10

Discordic Echo

  • Cooldown mechanic: Charge-based (generated by movement and casting) → Fixed 10 seconds

Buff

General

  • Total cost reduced from 3000 gold to 2900 gold.
  • Combine cost reduced from 900 gold to 800 gold.

Patch 4.4

Change

New Recipe:

  • Blasting Wand + Lost Chapter + Ring of Revelation + 800 gold = 3000 gold.
  • Old Recipe: Blasting Wand + Lost Chapter + 1050 gold = 3000 gold.

We feel that Luden’s Echo can use a little boost to help it stand out amongst the other Ability Power items so we’re giving it a bit more damage…damage…damage…
