Wards & Vision Changes
Patch 3.3
changeSince the updates to the trinket system, players have learned to take advantage of swapping between trinkets to gain extra value, particularly from the new control ward trinket. We’re removing this swapping optimization in order to make the choice between which trinket you take a more intentional choice, rather than allowing swapping to be a way to gain extra vision and/or vision denial.
TRINKET AND WARDS
- Using a trinket will cause all different wards placed by the trinkets to despawn
- Example: using yellow or red despawns pink, using pink or red despawns yellow
Patch 3.2
changeWe are releasing Control Wards as a third trinket option to let players have more options versus camouflage champions like Evelynn or Teemo. Control Wards also offer area vision denial plus potential long term vision, but there can only be one Control Ward on the map per playr and they are harder to defend due to them not being stealthed.
CONTROL WARD
- Places a visible ward that grants vision of its surroundings and reveals stealthed units and wards.
- 3 health
- Lasts until destroyed or replaced
- Not stealthed
- Can only have 1 on the map per player
Patch 1.0
changeIn-game rewards
- In South Korea and Japan, players can log in using their existing Riot Games accounts and earn rewards based on their time and monetary investment in League of Legends on PC (more info coming soon). For the other regions in the Closed Beta who may not have Riot accounts yet, you can create and link a Riot Account, and earn rewards like champs and skins later in the year.
