We've folded Crown of the Shattered Queen's effect into Banshee's Veil to simplify the item system and better define each item's role. Banshee's Veil is now the go-to defensive option against burst mages, combining a spell shield with Magic Resist for greater survivability in teamfights.

Buff

Banshee’s Veil has been struggling to be that go to item for magic resistance, even in situations where the extra magic resistance should be good. So, we’re lowering the cost so that when you decide to deviate your build to opt in for more defense, your bank account doesn’t take as big of a hit.

Buff

Banshee’s Veil fits well as a magic damage counter Ability Power item, but it's still on the weak side. We’re bringing up the stats in order to make it a more enticing pick-up, even if the enemy team doesn’t have a lot of magic damage threats.

Banshee's Veil added to Wild Rift

Mages have been lacking a good defensive tool, so we’re bringing over Banshee’s Veil from League PC. This item will allow mages to invest in some Magic Resist and grant them a spell shield to protect themselves from pesky crowd control.

Recipe:

  • Needlessly Large Rod + Negatron Cloak + 700 gold = 3000 gold.

Stats:

  • 70 ability power, 40 magic resistance, 10 ability haste.

Unique Passive - Annul:

  • Grants a spell shield that blocks the next enemy ability.
  • Limited to 1 Banshee's Veil.
