Searing BrillianceWR
Passive - Searing Brilliance

Whenever Mel uses an ability, she gains three bonus projectiles (up to nine maximum) on her next attack. When Mel deals damage through an ability or attack, she applies Overwhelm, which can stack infinitely. If the enemy is hit by Mel with enough Overwhelm damage, the stacks are consumed to execute the target.

Ability 1 - Radiant Volley

Mel fires a barrage of projectiles that explode around a target location, dealing damage repeatedly to enemies within the area.

RebuttalWR
Ability 2 - Rebuttal

Mel forms a barrier around herself that reflects enemy projectiles back at the attacker, prevents her from taking damage, and grants her movement speed.

Solar SnareWR
Ability 3 - Solar Snare

Mel fires a radiant orb forward, dealing damage and slowing enemies within range, while rooting those at its center.

Golden EclipseWR
Ability 4 - Golden Eclipse

Mel strikes all enemies marked with Overwhelm regardless of their distance from her, dealing additional damage for each stack of Overwhelm. Ranks of Golden Eclipse increase Overwhelm's damage.

Patch 7.1dChangeCurrent Patch

Mel’s in a solid spot, but she’s been a bit too frustrating to deal with. Her early missile poke is hard to dodge, and her second ability is up a little too often, allowing her to make more clutch reflects. So, we’re lowering her missile damage and increasing her second abilities cooldown. To keep her waveclear steady though, we’re giving her a small damage boost to minions.

  • Damage per explosion: 13/16/19/22 + 7% Ability Power → 11/14/17/20 + 6% Ability Power
  • Minion modifier: 75% → 90%

Rebuttal

  • Cooldown: 32/29/26/23s → 38/36/34/32s
Patch 7.1Nerf

Mel dominates in the later stages of the game, especially with how easily she can execute enemies from long range. So, we’re reducing her late game damage and the kiting power of her third ability, giving opponents more opportunity to close the gap.

Searing Brilliance

  • AP ratio per stack reduced from 0.6% AP to 0.5%.

Solar Snare

  • Root duration reduced from 1.2/1.35/1.5/1.65 seconds 1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5.

Golden Eclipse

  • Active per-stack AP ratio reduced from 3% AP to 2.5%.
