Cho'Gath Build Guide (Top)
Cho'Gath is a lane bully who becomes a raid boss: Vorpal Spikes and Carnivore make his lane sustain absurd, Rupture-Feral Scream is real crowd-control layering, and six Feast stacks make him nearly unkillable.
Summoner Spells

Runes
9x Mark of Magic Penetration (+1 Magic Penetration)
9x Seal of Armor (+1 Armor)
9x Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist (+0.2 Magic Resist per level (+3.6 at champion level 18))
3x Quintessence of Health (+26 Health)
Magic penetration marks keep Rupture and Feral Scream threatening while you build pure tank; armor, scaling magic resist and health quints do the tanking.
Masteries 0/21/9
0/21/9 tank page: the full defensive tree, with utility mana regeneration so Carnivore and Rupture never stop.

Max Rupture - it is your poke, peel and engage on one cooldown. Feral Scream second for the silence; Vorpal Spikes ranks mostly help farming, so they come last.

Boots
Mercury's Treads keep the giant moving; Ninja Tabi into full attack-damage lanes.
Situational
Randuin's and Thornmail against physical carries, Force of Nature against burn mages, Warmog's for the raid-boss health bar.
Example final build
A full tank build with real magic damage.

Cho'Gath Build Guide (Mid)
Mid Cho'Gath outscales most mages while being immune to their all-ins: Rupture-Scream silences the trade back, Carnivore erases their poke, and Feast is true-damage execution on their carry.
